Really sorry to post again but due to the cost of a day at the Oxfordshire, I have looked elsewhere and so contacted Frilford Heath (www.frilfordheath.co.uk) about a golf day in March 2012. They have hosted a round of the Volvo Amateur Tour and will be holding a round of the European Tour Q school in October.

They can offer:

Winter warmer package - Unlimited golf, coffee on arrival and a brunch which you can have at any time during the day all for £45.

It has been confirmed that it is unlimited golf on all 3 courses and (especially for BigPete)any day of the week.

The following people originally said they were interested in a day at the Oxfordshire so can you post if you are still interested or please add your name to the list if you would like to come along to the new location:

I played there few years back and its a great course. Id be interested in coming along for a first forum day - do I have to have a Mizuno Staff bag??

Grateful you add me to the list of potentials, Wotsit.

Long haul over there for me, but it's a top course. Played the Red (not off the back tees!) and Green courses many years ago (there were certainly only 2 courses then) on a Corporate day in Spring (late March ish?) and the courses were fantastic, in fact outstanding for that time of year. Oh the delights of heathland courses.

Red a very stiff challenge at the best part of 6500 even off the yellows as it's got (had) narrow fairways with a surprising number of trees for a heathland course and there's not much reward if you miss them - actually, there's no reward at all if you miss them!

A number of very good golfers (and I don't count myself in that category) had an absolute horror on the day (many cries of TIMMBBBERRRR were heard), with the winner mustering something like 33 points if I remember correctly. Think I managed 31 (off 6 at the time?) but absolutely loved the course. Certainly one that has stuck in my memory (probably as I got 2 nearest the pins on the day with VERY nice prizes). Suspect it could be a bit of a nighmare in adverse weather.

I think it would be wise to wait until we hear if Mizuno themselves were planning another day similar to Bearwood Lakes as that was fairly early season, and you wouldn't want a clash.

I fully agree, and the Bearwood Lakes day was such a great day. Might be about this time of the year where Mizuno marketing is preparing its 2012 plans?
