Apart from the obvious choices (Matsuyama, D Johnson, Spieth, Stenson) who do people fancy as an outside / each way bet for a top 5 finish?

My 3 are:

Sergio Garcia
Alexander Noren
Paul Casey

How about Rafa Cabrera Bello to finally win one in the Masters....

I think outside chances are:

Sergio Garcia - is the head right?
Justin Rose - will the putter behave
RCB - can he stay positive and not choke
Louis Oosthuizen - loves the track

No, intentionally missed Mcilroy and Day off as I think their injuries over recent times will play a part in them not doing that well.

RCB could be a shout, as well as Thomas Pieters

McIlroy says he's only interested in winning the Masters. Nothing else. No pressure then.

For a British Isles winner I would go Justin Rose. No-One has mentioned Sergio, is that because of his putting?

Augusta is a huge stretch, so naturally Driving Distance is a key statistic. Five of the previous six Masters winners have ranked in the top 40 for this stat, with Charl Schwartzel the only exception back in 2011.
Greens in Regulation is of huge importance at August due to the tricky greens, not easy to scramble and score well. Eight of the last ten winners have ranked top ten for GIR. Assuming that meeting GIR on every single hole is nigh-on impossible, Scrambling becomes crucial. Six of the last eight champions have finished top ten for this stat, and three of the last four winners have topped the pile. So outside the world's top ten how about Alex Noren or Brooks Koepka?

John Rahm seems to have everything we all think and read is needed to win at Augusta. He seems to withstand pressure pretty well too.

My 3 are:

Jordan Spieth
Louis Oosthuizen
Brooks Koepka

Obviously to win the masters you need to have a good all round game, especially a good consistent short game and to be very good with the putter. I couldn't have Rory Mcilroy until he proves that he can play Augusta well, a course where he has struggled especially with the putter. Matsuyama looks like he's gone off the boil after a great start to the year, DJ is in great form but i'm not sure whether his putting and general short game will be good enough around Augusta at present, i'm sure he'll win one at some point though but probably not just yet.

I have DJ, Rickie and Hideki as my favorites.

Rickie is a fader so that could be a problem but he has a great short game and good form!

The long wait is over! It's the Masters week!

Time to set the bonfire alight and go dance some tribal dances around it, the golf season is starting! :D

Of course, on Thursday I'm frustrated of not finding any of the content shown anywhere before 10 PM local time.
