News broke late yesterday afternoon during the 2-course "after-tournament" meal that surrounds 2nd place golfer SimonS!

Simon had brought his wife along to the event who had reluctantly agreed to caddy for him. Following a very impressive on-course performance, SimonS was pipped to the top spot by Big Pete who narrowly beat SimonS on Stableford countback on the 17th hole.

The scandal surrounds SimonS' refusal to pay his caddy her 10% fee!

He claims that his caddy got bored on the 16th and he had to finish the round on his own and thefore she forfeited her 10% of the £20 prize money!

SomonS's caddy had stated quite clearly during the meal that it was only due to her club selection on 1, 4, 7 & 9 that he had scored so well!!

The investigation continues, however if found to be true, SimonS could risk losing his playing and posting privileges until the fee is paid...

Stay tuned to this thread as this scandal unfolds...

BREAKING NEWS!!!

SimonS has reluctantly agreed to pay his caddy the £2 fee that she is due!

At the risk of losing his playing and posting privileges, he has apparently handed over 10% of his purse from yesterday's event.

His turnaround, has stopped short of a full apology, as he apparently still feels justified in his original position due to the "giving-up on the 16th" incident, however, in light of the good advice he received on the front-9, and at the risk of losing his privileges, he had handed over the money.

Well done SimonS!!

MORE SCANDAL errupted early this morning when it was revealed that the "REAL" reason for Dutch's failure to wear the official Mizuno Warmlite top issued in the goody bags was due to an increase in size!

Dutch claimed that it was because he wanted the packaging to remain in tact that he wasn't going to wear his top. He was quite willing to stand his ground on this despite the embarrassing jumper he was wearing!

However, rumour has it that the real reason for the failure to wear the Mizuno top was due to the fact that since his size was requested a month ago, too much rich food and drink has been consumed and the top no longer fitted!!

Stay tuned to this thread as the investigation continues...

Excellent thread.

The rumour is that Dutch has now gone to see a Gout specialist following recent revelations about his fancy lifestyle

OK OK OK - the truth will out.

1. It is the correct size but already have a blue one. i am hoping to change it thru samfitter (to red obviously).

2. The red jumper has been banned from further non-kenilworth outings due to its apparent lack of popularity with the jury.

3. i wish to appeal the finding of the jury - they overlooked my ability to match sock to jumper - an integral part of dressing up - i would ask Villiers to back me up on this - do you agree Villiers?

I felt there was a hint of anti-holland, based mostly on our superior football team and the fact that scotland always get knocked out at the qualifying stage by Holland.

that said, I will pose in the lilac gear with photo for the forum. i will also pose in my jumper/sock ensemble to give the Forum the opportunity to consider my case. I will need guidance to get the photo form iphoto onto the forum page (not quite mastered my mac yet)!

Dutch,

Red is SO wrong! Everyone knows that Orange is the true colour for all Dutchmen. If you had worn orange then I would have given you a vote in a different category.

I do agree Dutch, but unforgiveable if you didn't have matching boxer shorts!

True but Kenilworth don't have orange as a choice - apparently orange is too bright for most UK residents.

Glad to hear Mrs S has been paid up - I had visions of being instructed to pursue you in court for a £2 damages claim!
