A bit difficult without the full runners and riders list yet but I'll have a pop with my top five... not including myself obvs ;)

1/ Jonesy. It's his time, the form is solid, plenty of golfing under the belt.
2/ MvW. Unless there's been a handicap drop...
3/ RobB2. Arriba!
4/ Bubba. Just out of the places but another fine display from Mr Consistency
5/ Kevmc. Could be a dark horse for the main prizes.

I can't remember if PaulBoy is playing in the Northern event this year, but if so, he'll be right up there.

What do youuu think?

I'll wait to see full list of runners & riders (& handicaps) before making my final choices.

I am confident to predict that anybody who is near the top of the leaderboard has not been part of a Bananas-whiskython though!

Hey that was the basis for the One-two last year ;)

I see the handicap has come down Maurits....

Yes bananas, I have thrown my hat into the Northern ring this year! - Thanks for the kind words, though I hope the excitement of meeting all the stars from the North doesn't get the better of me?
I can't argue with your selections based on the posts here, but after that round you did last year at Brocket in the Southern Meet, I would put you right at the top of my prediction list with Bubba tucked in just behind you
Counting the days ... Paul

1) bananaman.  He has proven he can handle the Friday night festivities :)
2) bubba .  Even a broken clock gets it right eventually ;)
3) jonesy.  Lack of handicap will make it difficult to produce the score needed to beat the bandits ;)
4) paulboy.  Capable of shooting a score but hasn't got enough major experience ;)
5) bigpete.  Back to back majors is a tough ask and the pairs and davegiz banter on drive up  might take it out of him but u can't hide talent :)

The biggest factor in this is of course Friday !  Who takes Fridays game too seriously and runs out of steam on the Saturday, or, who partake of too much liquid sustenance on Friday night and ends up steaming on Saturday morning.

I think you've got to look at "horses for courses" and pick from

Deemac
Big Pete
And if he behaves on Friday Jones

Hard choice,  but, one of the former winners probably ;)

Wooden spoon will be hotly contested this year

Zombie Hex hip flask is also up for grabs too but that relies on unconscious selection...
