Mizuno Northern Forum Outing 2017 - Booking Now Open

It is with great pleasure that on behalf of Zombie and myself we are opening the booking for the 2017 Northern Forum outing, and it gives me even greater pleasure to announce that the event will come home to Scotland for the first time and will also be contested over a very good quality links course!

Details as follows:

Venue: Craigielaw Golf Course, East Lothian, ScotlandFriday May the 12th and Saturday May the 13th

Itinerary:
Friday afternoon warm up round at Kilspindie Golf Club, East Lothian (right next door)
Saturday morning Par3 competition on Craigielaw South Links
Saturday afternoon Championship round on Craigielaw Links Golf Course 
Staying at Craigielaw Lodge for 2 nights Dinner Bed & Breakfast (fixed menu - tbc in due course)

A wee bit more information for you all:

We’ve negotiated free range balls for the weekend to make best use of the excellent grass range and practice bunkers.  The Craigielaw South Links is really a 6 hole pitch and putt (Hursty will be fine with his 54deg wedge) but has quality greens and decent bunkers so should be a great start to Saturday.  The club have donated a bottle of Wemyss' estate (Craigielaw owners) whisky as a wee incentive to the Par3 comp.
 
Traditional, shorter and beach hugging Kilspindie is a great contrast to the modern and longer Craigielaw.  Importantly, Kilspindie is walking distance from Craigielaw so we have no concerns about pre and post golf transport on the Friday. 

There aren’t any spa facilities at Craigielaw Lodge but it’s close to some great spots like Gullane, North Berwick and a wee city called Edinburgh!  Mrs Z is happy to provide input for any non golfers as she knows the local area really well for a Luton girl and can suggest activities that non golfers may find of interest.

Further to Deemac's response - I need to speak to the club manager and agree when we pay the deposit and full bifta.  I'll gather that info and get back to you all.

We'll do what we can to keep the door open for our articulate whisky drinker!
