Anyone bought a set of 800's or compared them to the pro's?

I have a set coming and am just interested to hear some other opinions.

And don't worry I'm happy with my purchase so all comments welcome.

Ignacio Garrido has been testing out the JPX irons - he's always been an MX player for us in the past. He prefers the shape and offset to the MP models.

We bent all the lofts weaker to match his tour set up - was still hitting the JPX800 15 yards longer than his MX200's.

For all that he looks to be settling on the JPX800Pro. Only a few yards behind the JPX800, but he prefered the set up. Nothing decided yet.

Only heard that today - so seemed too good to waste.

Interesting - seems logical that he should play the 800 pros I guess coming from the 200s.

BTW it's great to see a successful pro at the very highest level representing the mx side of things and now maybe the jpxs. Just goes to show they aren't just "game improver" clubs.

It's very much Horses for Courses when it comes to club selection. There are no rights and wrongs and one CANNOT state with any kind of authority or certainty that one set of irons is better than another.

I can only state what I think are better or best. Someone else will state something different, and they wouldn't be wrong either!

There are a number of debates out there where there are no deffinitive answers:

1) Foged vs Cast
2) Blades vs Cavities
3) Stack & Tilt vs Conventional
4) Crosshand Putting vs Traditional
5) Draw vs Fade

Etc, Etc...

Everyone has an opinion, and ALL those opinions are welcomed on this forum and continue to feed healthy debate.

Well I changed from MP67's to the 800 Pro's and love them. In fact I would go as far as to call them golf "Enjoyment" clubs rather than golf "improvement" clubs.

Have always been a Mizzie player but these are the best so far. Hit them further and straighter than any MP range that I have had previously.

Just my opion.

I struggled with the 800s. When I tried the Pros I hit them much better.

I had the same experience when I demoed the MX200s and had no issue when hitting MX300s.

Only thing I can conclude is that I am more focused with the 'better players' club, meanwhile I expect the 'game improvement' model to bail me out and get sloppy.

If I were to try MP63s I could probably join the tour ;-)

Plenty of people using these irons now, but nobody seems to have commented on what make shafts they are playing with these heads.

Has anyone played the JPX's with the Nippon 950GH or perhaps KBS shafts?
