Hmm worries when people under 9 claim to be poor golfers. Sure I'll say the same if I get there. No consolotion to us 'teens' right now

Have to say I'm hugely looking forward to this, should be great. Will make sure I bring the Mrs Cybershot camera too, does a great panoramic Sweep type shot. Could get the Northern Mob in one 'bags out' photos.

As soon as I have confirmed ALL attendees, I will post the teams. I don't want to do it just yet, because if the "not yet confirmed" golfer can't go, and I need to find a replacement, I might need to shuffle the teams to re-balance the team handicaps...

The only problem with working out the handicaps now is that they will have changed by the time we get to Brampton with the season starting early April. Obviously any major handicap changes should be posted. More likely to be higher handicaps who have been knocked on general after a great round

OK, so here's another teaser for all you Brampton attendees...

The format will be a stableford competition with full handicap allowance up to a maximum of 18.

Each player will record their own net score and their own stableford score.

The prizes in the individual competition will be awarded as follows:

1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place

Longest Drive on the 9th
Longest Drive on the 17th

Nearest the pin on the 1st
Nearest the pin on the 14th

Nearest the Line on the 4th (a line will be painted right up the middle of the 4th fairway - the golfer who drives their ball closest to the line {regardless of distance} is the winner)

In addition to the individual prizes, there will be a team competition too...

This will be based on the sum of the two best stableford scores in each 4-ball, on each hole. Prizes for the team competition are as follows:

1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place


Unlike last year's competition, there will be no need to pay any money towards a prize fund. Between the stuff I am organising, and some kind donations, we have enough prizes without requiring an "entry fee". \o/
