Hi guys I have a wrist - floor of 29" if I make a fist, or a 31" if use the wrist crease and have 919 irons, I feel I should have been fitted with a shorter length shaft as I have been in Hybrids and 3wd (driver standard length) just interested on thoughts

most important question of all do you have an erect posture or soft slightly bent posture as static measurements go out the window

More of a bent posture with the irons

If you have a bent posture like most with irons , so don't worry, you will be closer to the ground with your hands so will require differing length of shaft and lie angle than someone that is more erect in posture with their hands further away from the ground.

So if the Hybrids are shorter that means the irons should be as the lengths are getting longer these days?

From an old Mizuno pdf:-

If your fitter found that you were not producing a consistent strike with your hybrids at standard length he may have recommended a different length.

Run that question again? Hybrid shafts will be longer than your iron lengths surely?

Yes Hybrids would be longer as would the 3wd which have both been fitted half inch shorter so am just curious as to why the driver is standard length as are the irons.

The starting point is height. The next point is strike pattern. If you have clubs that are too long you will lower your hands which in turn leads to thin & low slices.

The best thing to do is get a custom fit where you start at standard length and then work down in 1/4 inch increments until you find the correct lie angle at set up.
