Didn't see it coming. Think they've hung McIlroy out to dry after making him the anti liv spokesman. Not impressed.

I really didn't see this coming & still can't believe it has happened - As per the post above, McIlroy, & all the others who were loyal to their tours, have been well & truly hung out to dry - It all just seems to be about money & I can't think of a worst thing I have ever witnessed in golf ...

Like everyone else given the rhetoric that the PGA tour spouted I never thought this was remotely on the table. Those that went to liv have gotten their cake and eaten it. Imagine knocking back hundreds of millions only to be told to play on that tour for free!! Be interesting to see the details and player commitments etc etc..if I were Rory and tiger I would be setting up their own tour...lol

Certainly took me by surprise. I cant see how the various factions involved in the whole process can play golf as if nothing has ever happened. I think there is too much bad blood now to allow any sort of harmonious reunion. Those who stood by the two Tours and were vocal in their support of their Tour have been right royaly shafted !

I don't know how it's being reported in Europe, but here in the colonies, a lot of us still feel like we haven't heard enough details for the deal to make sense.

Hi Dennis ... Pretty much the same here as regards to what is being reported? - No one knows what will happen? - The letter from Tom Watson to the PGA is excellent & certainly addresses a lot of the questions that need to be answered ...

It's been nearly a month and I don't feel like we know any more now than before about how this whole merged tour is supposed to work. There's supposed to be some sort of players meeting to vote on the merger. That should be interesting, but that's the only new thing I've heard.
