Hello all, hoping someone can assist here. My father passed away a couple of years ago and left me a rather well cared for and never abused set of MX-900’s. He had graphite shafts in them, so I’ll need to reshaft them with steel. I’ve pulled the exsar graphite shafts and noticed there are tip weights still left in the hosels. I have found that these are .370 bore, but my question is this- are the parallel bore heads weighted differently than the taper heads sold with steel shafts?

If you have already dismantled them you should be able to weigh the 6 iron head. According to Maltby a normal 6 iron (A) head weighs about 253 gms so you should be able to compare that with yours.

Excellent. Thank you! As far as I can tell the weighting is the same. I’m headed off to order the shafts now. Hopefully I’ll have these in play by next weekend.
