i have tested both Mizuno MP-20 HMB and MMC yesterday, and found out that HMB iron-7 has higher ball and further than MMC iron-7 although they have same loft and shaft. My HMB took 160yd while MMC only 150yd. I really like MMC model and feel, and thinking to combine these beautiful irons in single set 4-6 HMB and 7-P MMC. But still confuse about the ball flight and yardage, should I take 5-7 HMB and 7-P MMC? Does anyone experience this?

Natural break point seems to be the 8 iron - where all sets change in shape a little.

If the 8iron split doesn't suit your game, do your distance gapping regardless of the # on the bottom and adjust/bend loft where you need it. You'll most likely end up with two 'same number' clubs in the bag that each has their own spot in the bag but that shouldn't hold you back. Check one of the TXG vids with Voshell. @150 ad 160yds those two 7 irons could be very close to what you need.

I tried those again this morning and it seems to choose 8 iron split is the best one. Although i'm little bit confuse about shaft setting.

My current Mizuno MP-54s have NS Pro 950 Stiff (7iron about 150y), but I tried both HMB and MMC 7iron in Modus105 Stiff and both took about 5-6y longer than my previous demo with NS Pro 950 Regular. My swing speed is about 73-75mph in iron7 and I almost 60.
