Had ordered a custom Iron set through a German retailer. (5-7 MP20 HMB, 8-PW MP 20 MB, GW T20)
Specific Swingweights (MOI matched set) within the margins that were given by Mizuno for the specific heads and shaft/grip combination before ordering this specifically. All was looking good and ready to go. Order placed (June 11).
Received the clubs (July 7).
Swingweights were all over the place, inconsistently off for most clubs. (not consistently/proportionally, as it could happen for a different measuring method or grip weight etc.)
Apparently not adjusted at all. Off by up to 2 SW points. (all major offsets were of too little SW)
Now retailer says Mizuno is unable to readjust the SWs. I sent the clubs back. Invoice canceled.
What is going wrong at Mizuno's club making department?
Is Mizuno really unable to custom make a club set with specific swing weights within the given margins?
Does it make sense to give Mizuno another try, was it just a bad apple, or should I get custom made sets from other manufacturers who can and wants to build sets up to specs?
