First post here. Hopefully someone on here will have thoughts.

I have hit the new Mizuno Pro irons and I love the 223s. Strongly leaning towards purchasing a set. I do have a question about gapping though. The 5-7 irons have stronger lofts, chromoly and a microslot. The 8-GW are 1025E and more traditional lofts. How is the set designed to prevent distance gaps?

For reference, I currently hit 7 iron 160, 8 iron 145, 9 iron 130 and PW 120, with lofts of 30, 34.5, 39 and 44. I know from launch monitor testing that the 223 7 iron will still go 160 for me, but I'm concerned the 8-PW distances will be less due to weaker lofts and the more traditional construction of the club. Thoughts?

If you look on mizuno’s .com website there is a section around the new mizuno pro irons to compare the recommended blend across the lines. Go to compare irons and select the 223 and whatever you are interested for scoring, mid, long irons. There is option on blend points
