Hi all, just after a little information if possible? I picked up a near new set of Mizuno Pininfarina 1 , 3 and 5 Hybrids today, I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about them as there's little to no information to be found anywhere.
Thanks in advance. 20181019_120609.jpg

It says hybrid on the shafts, I'm fairly sure that's what they are but I could be wrong, hence asking

That's a great find. Designed in conjunction with an automotive aerodynamic specialist in a windtunnel. More headspeed through reduced resistance.

Unfortunately they looked like that.:)

They must be super rare because I can't find any information on them at all!
Funny enough they look very stylish in hand but the photos don't really do them any justice at all, they definitely have an air of quality about them.

Love to know what they go for, the online sales companies won't touch special editions or anything out of the norm. Might fleabay them o_O?

Yep had them in the shop I worked in 1992 when Faldo won the British Open that summer. Irons to match, they were slightly more expensive than a set of TP 18s / TP 19s at the time.

There was also a set of manganese bronze irons mizuno quad PC I think too which had the tops of the toes cut off, equally different looking. In those days it was just wilson, mizuno, ping, taylormade, Dunlop maxfli, top flite irons and woods (thunder heat driver) , ram tour grind and yyonex were very popular and cobra was a top

line. Callaway hadn't really come out with anything then and titliest only had the tour model, tornado and DTR irons the DCIs I don't think had come out then. Those were thedays!! Zero forgiveness forged blades, great fun!!

Lol, sounds a lot less confusing than today's choices!

Any idea of what they might be worth? I'm thinking of putting them on eBay as it seems to be the only place to advertise them.

Cheers

Problem is the equipment world has moved on so much since these were born in 1991, the right person might pay you 50 quid or something but it would have to be a collector maybe? I bought a taylormade tour burner driver with titanium shaft for 11 quid circa 1990 the market is odd at times

I just figured with these being a one off and very rare they'd be worth quite a bit, I suppose they're only going to be worth what someone will pay for them. Probably worthwhile keeping a hold of them or finding someone with a Pininfarina collection ;)
