That hole is an eagles nest. Sometimes is also played as a nearest the pin, so the pin is marked with measurements.
Ahh..no. It was probably closer to 3ft. But very makable. With birdies on the 2 previous holes and one on the next, would have been 4 on the trot..total miss read..oh the pressure LOL..
Welllllll it wasn't a hole in one, but a few weeks ago I "chipped" my second shot in from about 190 meter (with the MP-57 3i) for an eagle two at our longest par 4 hole of about 420 meters..... it felt like a hole in one and apart from my 3 companions, the group just left the green also were about dancing near the green.....
Had first-ever hole-in-one on No. 11 hole at Twin Falls State Park, Mullens, WV. It was 125 yards with a pitching wedge MX900 witnessed by Ron Gordon, and Dennis Riffe.
Not quite a hole in one but the closest I've ever been...
Playing a doubles winter league game and my partner has just holed out from 120 yards on the previous par 4 for a 4 point 2.
We're still all giggling about that when I step up to the par 3 - fairly straightforward 170ish yards - wind into slightly - hit a choke down 23* mp clk - nice high draw that hits the flag about 2" up and pitches just an inch or so away and settles 3feet away. Made the putt (just) for a 2nd consecutive 2 for another 4 points.
2 more 2s followed (one of them a 30 ft uphill squirler with my new bc3) and 3 blobs for one crazy round
I managed a hole in one in august this year. Captains prizes stableford competition.
Our 4th hole, into a slight breeze, my trusty 6 iron. Hit it so well I thought I would only have a tap in. Never expected it to drop so bent down to pick up my tee, missed the ball go in. My playing partners were whooping and a hollering, I was in disbelief!! Me with my 19 handicap getting an ace!
Someone else got one same day on the same hole and stole some of my thunder.
Had my best score to date gross 82 with two 7s on the card. Looking forward to a new season with a new set of sticks. Just need to make up my mind between MP 53 and JPX800 pro.
Got my first hole in one today! With my MP60 8 iron.
Par 3 - up hill slighly flag at about 165 yards. Hit to 2 yards to the right of the pin and spun left and disappeared into the hole. 2 guys I was playing with witnessed the shot.
OK, my turn! Technically not a Mizuno driver but one I made myself (an old persimmon, you know!)- had a albatross 1 on the par 4 17th (uphill 260-odd yards) at Wimbledon Park GC: to finish a 5-4-3-2-1 run (made a 4 - par - at the last - felt like a double!)
Since then the only run of numbers I've achieved is a 3-4-5-6-7!
2 aces in 40 years playing golf, both with Mizunos. Panga GC Brunei, T-Zoid 8 iron, hole 12 142 yards, 1997. Adu Dhabi GC, MP-60 6 iron, hole 24 175 yards, 2007. Both witnessed.
I have had two aces in my 14 years of golf, bot witnessed by playing partners, both when I was having a terrible round!
First one was with my first Mizuno irons - T-zoid 6 iron - 165 yards over pond to green guarded by trees both sides. bounced once and popped in. My father in law couldn't believe it.
The second was with my trusty MP30 9 iron - sweet shot, slightly right of the pin, just over the brow. Got up there and Junior found it in the hole. he was more excited than i was.
