Luke and Jeff Overton card best last day rounds at Turnberry

Both Luke and Jeff were very close to contending at The Open Championship. With 67's in the last round, both of them carded the day's equal best score.

Luke's preparation on the links looked to have paid off, while at just 26 Jeff has now played two Opens and made the cut in both.

Could they have done more to push the leaders - or was this just someone else's day?

Luke lost it on day 1. If he'd posted a score on day 1 he could have won it.

Ifs and ands...

I must say however that Luke made a much better attempt than previous years, and although I missed seeing him at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond this year - if it helps him win the big one, then so be it!!
