I’m looking for irons with a touch more forgiveness on off center shots, without losing the wonderful feel of a pured shot. I currently play Titleist CB irons that were fitted and ordered at 0.5 long and 2 deg upright. I’m looking at JPX forged irons and notice that the lie angle is generally 1.5 deg flat from the base CB. I haven’t been fitted yet so this is just a question for my knowledge base. Should I expect that my fitting will result in a recommendation for a 3.5 deg upright lie (or more length)? A little surprised by this large difference.
