Hello fellow Mizuno aficionados.....I need help finding info on a set of Mizuno Pro irons. They are Craft Made Mizuno Pro 911 irons. I can't find a scintilla of information on em and I am counting on this community to help solve this mystery.

Satin finish, Muscle back similar to MP 33 but not as bulbous. I have searched high and low and there is absolutely no information to be found.

Only info so far is speculative that the designation 911 represents 1991/January. Thought is that these were commissioned by Mizuno Craftsmen to take a "No cost" approach to creating the best iron possible. 2 Craft Made irons resulted. The 911 and the 893(1989/March). The finish work and appearance are second to none. Shafted with Brunswick FM Precision 6.5 and available only in Japan at a cost of around $3500.00.....in 1991.....

Please oh please, tell me someone knows of these unicorns.......Fingers crossed that someone here or at Mizuno can shed some light......

Thanks for reply. Very frustrating to have something and know absolutely nothing about it. Can’t seem to post pics but I’ll figure it out.

I have the same issue, I have a set of Mizuno TP-5 Irons, 2-SW. very little about them on the internet, I found one guy talking about the TP range who put a picture of an old Mizuno advert. the advert mentions TP 3, TP5 TP7 TP9 & TP Originals, the advert was from 1986 apparently, but the TP3,5,7 are super rare. where the TP-9 were very popular. my advise would be try and get info out of Mizuno themselves someone there should know something.

I had a full ring binder brochure direct from Mizuno UK which had all the TP models in. Some had super long Ferrules back then, different grooves in the faces. TP3,5,7,9, 11 and Originals then came TPZ (after Hogen Edge Forged Cavities) TP 18s, (Anders Forsbrand made popular) TP 19s (very popular retail Faldo model and the TP 12 which I remember were aimed at Seniors for some reason.

Also putters which had Exsar Gold Graphite shafts and brown coloured heads one model was called a Sun downer the other a Harvey Ball Banger. Tour bags were either White with Blue writing (Sandy Lyle) or Black with Gold writing (JM Olazabal) Im doing my best to locate at my parents house!

Sorry I meant you Jus
Welp they are up on eBay. Never got any info from Mizuno. They are more beautiful in person and the feel is incredible.
I have too many sets and with 2 kids starting college, I really can’t afford to keep wall hangers.

Found this info on them..

The Mizuno Craft Model.

Not TN’s or MP’s… The Craft Model.

After the huge success with the TN (Tommy Nakashima) series during the economy bubble, it was now time for Mizuno to really go all out. The product development team including a few selective craftsman where gathered and given a special project to create the “best forged irons” without considering any costs. We hear brands use these kinds of phrases time to time but Mizuno this time, actually didn’t. To the point where the irons were only retailed directly only from Mizuno within Japan, with the price tag of well over 300,000 Japanese Yen.

From what I have heard from, Mizuno even started from creating specific metal compositions just for this line and didn’t Mizuno Pro Craft Model [893 & 911] — Green Golf Loungeuse their usual 1020, 1025 billets.

However, by the time the Craft Model’s were ready for their launch, the vision of the brand was already looking outside of Japan for the bigger market carried out by the huge impact from the TN series. The scary high manufacturing cost limited the sales avenues, which resulted the exposure to be so minimal that hardly anyone today talks or known about these two mysterious 893 and 911 Mizuno Craft Models.

These understated Mizuno models are defiantly a key part of the Mizuno’s forged iron history and were something that had to be restored and shared as part of history.

Yes, green golf and I went back and forth and he supplies the only info I could glean on the net. Mizuno/USA, Mizuno/Europe had no info. Mizuno/Japan never responded to my queries.

Doubt there's anyone left in golf division at Mizuno who would remember those. I'm one of the longer standing members of staff at 23 years.......and first time i've ever seen. Not in any of the back catalogues we have. I'd have to ask someone retired.

Have put something on our Facebook Group - never know which ex employees might be lurking there.

That bloke would be me. Hi! TP-5 are rare, TP-3 and TP-7 even more so! Still never seen the TP-7!

As for the Craft Model 911 - beautiful, stunning clubs. Rare - yes, but I think there are a good number of sets that are even more so.

I had them all. They shrunk it down to a small fat booklet two years later. I had an amazing Mizuno Pro Original Persimmon Driver with Graphite Insert in the face. One of the best wedges any of you Mizen fanatics can have is the TP9 SW (56 degrees) in copper or the later aluminium bronze! hardcore Mizen Porn!

I am desperate to see or get my hands on some old catalogues from late 80’s/early 90’s. Please let me know if you have them!
The BeCu TP-9 was a rare beast although I prefer the Aluminium Bronze. I am actually waiting on delivery of two “new old stock” ones next week.

Persimmons - I have a lot. Got a nice Pro Original that has only had a handful of hits. Beauty!
