Had the same issue with a jpx919 hot metal. Started as a blister, then after some months the blister perimeter cracked and the chrome flaked off. American golf sent my club back to Mizuno 8 weeks ago and have now claimed it’s a chargeable repair. Surprising response from a creditable supplier.
