Finally replaced.....

I have finally replaced by 16 year old MX-500 driver and F-50 3-wood with the ST-Z driver and 3-wood.

Loving them both so far.

Which shafts are you using in them?

Driver = Project X Hzrdus RDX Smoke Black 6.0 60g
3-wood = Project X Evenflow Riptide 5.5R 60g

My 3 wood arrived this morning, gone for Hzrdus Smoke Black in 6.5 70g.
That shaft actually weighs 69g uncut, so is probably around 64g cut to 3 wood size.
Slightly worried that it might be too light for me, but I'll find out tomorrow when I hit it.

Yup fitted for both. My swing speed is possibly not fast enough for the Hzrdus black but the launch monitor figures were better than the Hzrdus blue and I felt that I hit the black better as well. I have to ensure I fully load the shaft to get the best out of it but that's working out well so far.

My old 3-wood had a regular shaft so he put me with the 5.5, which is inbetween regular and stiff. I tend to either smoke my 3-wood or duff it but these are swing rather than shaft issues.

Seems ok at the moment though.
