Another report on golf in the UK and Ireland.

https://www.golf-for-all.co.uk/

"
22.4 million adults in the UK and Ireland are either playing or watching golf. 16.3 million adults are playing some form of the game every year.
But, fewer than 1 in 4 people engaged in golf are playing ‘on-course’.
There is huge scope for the golf industry to be more inclusive of different forms of the game."

I don't know who's trying to prove what regarding golf in this report, but based on the statement "fewer than 1 in 4 people engaged in golf are playing ‘on-course’" it all sounds meaningless to me? - Playing at the range or indoors, or even Tiger Woods '23 on your computer, does not mean you are playing golf? (imho)

Alexa says about 9% of Americans play golf. And I totally agree with Paul, playing golf on a video game, hitting balls at Top Golf, or playing putt putt is not playing golf.

And if you watch me on the course it may not be golf.

And if you watch me on the course it may not be golf.
Having played this game for nearly 70 years now, having had it pay for my college education, having briefly been a country club assistant professional and joyfully having regained my amateur status, and having played golf all over the world, I watch my game deteriorate and wonder if calling it golf still qualities. The R&A and USGA might not admit to my game being golf, as much the poplar joke calling it "WHAP SH*T"...

On the other hand, the good news is, I'm stupid enough to still enjoy whatever this is.
