So, after my last post on counterfeit JPX 800 irons, I decided to write another article. It seems that a lot of people online ask about sites with names like cheapwholesalelegitmateOEMdealergolfclubs.com or some other combination of words included in the ridiculous web address that I just typed. It also seems that a great many people get duped into buying from these sites because of the "amazing price." If you have time, read my article at:

http://fightinpirates.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/the-bubonic-plague-of-counterfeit-golf-equipment-retailers/

The article includes screen captures.

Cheers!

General rules

- only buy from Mizuno authorised dealers
- avoid "too good to be true" prices

Avoid online sales sites if...

- there is no physical address listed
- you can't find a direct contact number on the site
- the contact email is a gmail or googlemail address
- the site ONLY offers top end prestige item (scotty putters, r11 etc)
- you have any reasonable doubt it may not be legit
