I've had good success with my new Mizuno 7 wood - God bless the people who designed and produced it! From the rough, and many yards away it's working great! With that, wouldn't a 9 wood be as great?! From the rough, 130 yards from the pin and needing the height to hit the green - I just can't get the appropriate irons to do it, and for some reason, the Miz hybrids just don't do it for me (yes, I could use some instruction). But I think that the 9 wood idea would work! And that Mizuno should advertise the greatness of 7 woods - and extend that to the 9's!

Olimar and XXIO both make a 9 wood. I think they are about 24-25 degrees.

I've got a nice wee 7 wood in the bag. In the setting I use it is probably the most versatile club in my bag. I can't believe I be so scathing about those who carried a 7 wood :( Don't worry I wont ever be putting a Chipper in the bag ;)
