They are essentially a remake of the Classic TN87. What makes them so special is the copper layer between the forging and the chrome finish. It just gives that special feel of softness and workability that good players want. I dont understand why blade manufacturers stopped using the copper layer to save a few quid. Maybe they thought the players wouldnt notice.

TN 87 reissue with softer angles, bit more weight in the sole and back of the blade, slightly wider sole and very slightly more rounded leading and trailing edges. But we are talking fractions here.

TN 87 - very difficult to improve on almost perfection.

My MP 14s are pretty close and my 32s are heavenly.

MP32s are a Marmite club. But unless you hit them...... they are the best blades ever made IMHO
