While writing a post a moment ago, I noticed off to left it says tomorrow, I will have been a member of this forum for 9 years.

I really feel I need to say thank you... It's been educating, informative, fun, often to the point of being goofy, but most of all, it's brought me friends all over the world. I only wish so many of the members from my early years were still around.

I've decided long ago, Mizuno is not equipment, it's a disease, (fortunately not curable), which warms your soul with a brotherhood of like minded people. I've tried a lot of equipment over the years, but I always seem to come back to, and feel better about, playing Mizunos.

Thank you all...

Hey Marty... I was thinking the exact same thing, how I felt and what I was capable of with a golf club in my hands 10 years ago. I'll be 74 in May and I have to admit, I'm still happy with what I can do on the course, given I've moved up one marker from the club tees. Among my golf buddies, we all tease the 15th club in our bags is Ibuprofen, but if it works, I don't fight it.

Hi Guy's just like Marty I've also been lurking in the back ground I look in at least once a week to see what's happening on the forum and to read any posts so I've never really gone away,

And at the age of 75 I'm not without my health problems..! as due to a chronic heart condition and other on going health issues I've not played a game of golf since the 3rd October 2022..! In fact I'm no longer able to walk round the golf course due to the heart condition and on going arthritis problems and have had to get my self a single seat electric golf buggy in order to still be able to play,

I have been receiving on going treatment for my heart condition over the last few months mainly drug related which has helped to stabilize the condition I will however be going in to hospital some time in the not to distant future for an angiogram to see if I'll need any surgical procedures, however I am hoping to be back playing once again soon..!,

I have however over the last month or so been having a one hour seasons every Thursday night at my golf club using our in door golf simulator and that has help me to get swinging again, and in anticipation of playing again in the last couple of weeks I've treated my self to the new Mizuno STX230 12 Deg driver and a set of Mizuno JPX 921 5-PW irons, and going forward I hope to be more active soon on the forum,

I'll post some pics shortly of my bag set up in WITB.

Cheers John. :)

Seanmor - Glad to hear you are doing something about your aches and pains, finding ways to continue life as you wish it to be. I hate to say, I have some friends who take on old age with the decision already made that they can't win, so they give up. They are right, we can't live forever, but I intend to go kicking and screaming, hoping to make one last birdie, before they shut the coffin.

I too have arthritis, mostly in my spine and some in my hands. I find hot water soaks and a small vibrator with 4 prongs on it to press against my fingers works pretty wekk to loosen up my hands in the mornings. Right now, I'm in St Lucia with my wife and my daughter's family. I really wish I had thought to bring that little vibrator. I recommend something like it highly.

Seanmor, you take care of yourself. I'm still waiting to get on a waiting ,ist for my hip replacement. Oh the joys of our NHS. You don't actually get on a list until the powers that be think they may be able to fit you in within the timescales rant over.

Good that you've managed to get the ride on single seater, that should help you get around the course easily enough. Hope all goes well and the weather improves
and you can get out more.

Take care. David

Hey John hope the angiogram went well. It’s a most peculiar feeling in your ‘bits’ when they pass the dye through and I thought not together unpleasant 🤣. Caffeine headache was a bugger though having had to abstain beforehand. Hope you’re ok mate, crossing fingers 🙌🏻

Had my Angiogram heart examination done this morning and I’m happy that it all went really well it showed that I don’t have any blockages in my heart arteries and will not require any stents or surgery, it didn’t how ever answer the question of why I am still suffering from a chronic heart condition so further investigations will be required going forward..! but I’m happy none the less 🙂 👍🏻

Ps., thank you guy’s for the good wishes it’s very much appreciated 👍

Cheers John. :)

Believe me when I tell you that's good! But you need to take this seriously...

Back on May 18th, my wife woke up not feeling "with it" as she put it. I suggested she stay home... no... I suggested I'd drive her to work... no... She drove to work and it wasn't an hour later one of her coworkers called to tell me she wasn't right and they were calling paramedics. The paramedics came and after checking her out, said she was OK. Keep that in mind...

An hour or so later, her coworkers called me again, saying she was practically incoherent and I needed to come pick her up. I took Uber downtown and drove her home. She went to take a nap and 3 hours later, didn't seem any more aware of things than she was before.

I took her to a nearby urgent care center, where the doctor's first comment after hearing about her day was, "Those paramedics don't deserve their jobs!" He told me to take her to the emergency room immediately.

I dropped her at the door to the emergency room and went to park the car. When I walked in 5 minutes later, she was nowhere to be found and when i asked the desk, they got someone to take me to the room where she was already being prepped for a stent to be put in her left anterior descending artery. (The so called widow maker) It was 99% blocked.

During the procedure,m she died on the table and was shocked back to life on the first try. Seeing the video of the procedure, a flash of light, the stent going into place and all of a sudden, seeing dozens of veins that had been invisible become flooded with blood, well it definitely makes an impression on you.

Amazingly, the next morning, other than her chest hurting from the shock, she was just as normal as could be. She was animated, had her sense of humor and was begging me to get her something better than hospital food.

John - Take care of yourself and push to find out why you still have problems. Don't take, "We don't know" for an answer. We don't want your loved ones to tell a story about you like I have to about Rosalie.

Please check out the amazing work of Dr. Dean Ornish and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyne Jr. regarding Heart Health and Heart Disease!
Not trying to push my agenda, but just trying to help if possible. I am no physician and I agree with Dennis to definitely take this seriously!

Dennis - that must have been quite a shock! I am glad it turned out alright and hope all is well with you and Rosalie and that you enjoy good health.
