Any chance of an update on what the time from order to delivery is currently running at? The last one I saw was at the end of June, and it would be great to know my new irons & wedges were coming in time to be in use for the end of season finals :)

The last message I saw said something like "60% within 60 days if in stock, working to reduce backlog"; that was in mid June. It would be nice to know how successful the reduction was.

My set was sent from Mizuno Yesterday.
GW-5 921 forged, Modus 120X +0,5" shafts, MCC plus 4 midsize grips.
33 Days after ordering. Not too bad!

We've not said too much - just in case the tide turned again. Right now we have worked our way back to inside 30 days from order to Mizuno to dispatch.

Just spoke to someone from Mizuno USA yesterday. The gentlemen said they're experiencing anywhere from 3-5 week delivery times dependent on shaft choices. Unfortunately they're out of KBS shafts except the tours, which kind of makes me SOL. Hope this helps.

Im going through the same thing minus the wait you experienced.... Also spoke to KBS and they said shipments should be going out soon, whatever that means.

I had an update on 30/9 that they had all of the components except for the 9 and P shafts which they weren’t getting until 12th Nov and so they promised a next day build with any shaft they had in stock. Then they came back on the same day saying they actually had the components. Still nothing arrived though. Going through club pro and would prefer to be able to chase myself but can’t really. It’s killing me!

That's basically what we've been working with too on that shaft.

For those of you curious about current lead times... I'm awaiting a set of right-hand Pro 223's with Nippon 105 X-Stiff shafts (Std Length, 1.5* upright) from Mizuno USA. Here is the status to date from my fitter...
  • 8/13/2022 - Order placed.
  • 8/24/2022 - Order expected to ship the week of 9/12.
    • While stock of 223 heads is low, more heads are due to arrive prior to the scheduled build date and will not affect production time. If a direct quote from the Mizo rep I'd say it's a bold prediction given the current state of the global supply chain.
    • MCC Black/Grey STD grips are available.
    • Nippon 105 X-Stiff shafts are available.
  • 9/13/2022 - Order expected to ship the week of 10/3.
    • The following heads are backordered until September 30th: 4, 5 6.
  • 9/26/2022 - Update... the order is on its way and is due to arrive at the fitter tomorrow (9/27).
    • I have no idea why Mizuno was able to finish the order early... should I complain? 😁 I don't know about you, but I think not.
    • There is one source of delay that would irritate me to no end... if US customs, which over the last few years has been hard-at-work rewriting the the definition of inefficiency, was the culprit.
It's unfortunate Mizuno is suffering from both external and internal supply chain issues. I was somewhat optimistic the irons would ship this week. With that said, another part of me knew the order could easily be delayed. I was hoping to get the irons earlier than later so I could get in a round or two before winter. I'm long overdue for a switch back to more forgiving heads. Hopefully October is extra-nice this year!

Thus I continue to wait patiently for my order which is in its infancy compared to others.

If, by chance, a Mizuno USA employee is reading this, and if, by chance, said employee knows where a single Pro 223 4, 5, and 6 RH head may be hiding I wouldn't complain if they just happened to miraculously be assigned to my build. Miracles do happen! ;)

In this case, though, I think it would take (miracle)³... that seems less likely.

I did.

They didn't arrive until yesterday (9/28) which wasn't a big surprise. Shippers in my area seem very willing to slide packages a day. 2-day service is often 3. The fitter checked lofts and lies and I picked them up today (9/29).

I'll take a closer look tonight, but on first glance I noted no QC issues.
----------------------------------------------
QC update:
  • Shaft and grip alignment is good and consistent between clubs.... Hard to do much better.
  • There's no residue aside from a small bit of epoxy on one hosel.
  • The ferrules are finished nicely. A slight amount of slag that comes off easily was clinging to several ferrules at the hosel (not uncommon).
  • Lengths are correct. I can't check loft and lie... But I also don't really care as long as they are play well.
  • Swing weights are perfect except for possibly the GW (assume my scale is 1 sw high). Virtually no variation.
    • 4 through 9 iron = D3
    • PW = D4
    • GW = D3.5
      • Specs say D4 (D5 on my scale). If I pretend the wedge is the same length as the PW (+1/4“) it's D5. The easiest fix would be to pull the grip and add a short extension if I find it to be an issue... Which is very unlikely. Hand position will have a bigger impact.
      • Having the PW and GW heavier than the rest is less important in my opinion if you need an additional wedge or two.
Ultimately I'm extremely happy with what I see. Now I need to go hit them.
Cheers!

Happy to report that I got my order in as well. Didn’t get the $- taper lites like I wanted, but the KBS tour lite worked out perfectly and are the same weight at 100g as the $.

Just hit them earlier and nothing but smiles.
