Hi

I ordered some Mizuno mp20 MMC golf clubs on Monday 17th of August I payed in full. I was very excited to get my new clubs. I was told 2 weeks to receive my new clubs then after 2 weeks had past I rang up the retailer they said the will contact mizuno.
The retailer a little red faced said that mizuno had the email but hadn’t started making the clubs and I was told that I was looking at a further 2 weeks.
So I waited 2 weeks and called up the retailer and his reply was that there is a back log of order's and that there missing parts for my clubs! So the retailer asked to send what you had in stock!
I have only received 2 wedges. It’s 9 weeks now and I’m very disappointed in your customer services. Iv had no apology’s no contact from mizuno reps nothing.
This is my final stand and hopefully I get somewhere with this Iv been fair.
Also It’s a terrible excuse that covid is to blame when other members at my club ordered with the same shop get there mizuno clubs before me when they ordered in September.

A sellers market?? At the end of the day, we were are all fitted for the correct clubs (that is specific clubhead, shaft, grip and the additional modifications like loft/lie, grip and sw adjustments). We all chose Mizuno because it is/was the best that we tested with the fitter...BMW vs Audi vs Mercedes?
If your fitter/retailer makes you pay in advance, I feel there is something wrong...and if they make you a supply/delivery date commitment, you should talk to them (the retailer) and not to Mizuno for not keeping you informed. I guess you are not willing to pay for your new car in advance ar you? It happens that car manufacturers are out of dashboards in the desired fancy colour. They then inform you about a 20-25 day extra delay... I support MPX when he wrote in earlier comments that 10 day delivery time could never be promised from the lockdown onwards. I was just lucky to have ordered stuff just befor the lockdown!!
There's a couple of assumptions you are making. You are assuming Mizuno is communicating with retailers/fitters of the shortages. I ordered MMC in August and still have not receive it.
So you are saying that fitters/retailers should just take it as blind faith that consumers will pay after a special order has been placed?

Ordered mmc irons 8/7 through golftec and still have no clubs (today is 10/14). Was told when ordering clubs it would likely take 4-5 weeks. Going on two and a half months now. I’m told I should receive them no later than 10/21 but who knows. Would not have ordered them if I knew it would take this long. This is a total farce.

Hi - afraid the 10 days was never possible. We've been quoting 20-25 days (parts allowing) on the site since lockdown. There is now a shaft ad grip shortage across the industry - not just at Mizuno. Appreciate its very frustrating and probably looks like we don't care. Can assure you we do - no payment comes our way until after the clubs are shipped. Hopefully you'll play the irons for many years - and best to wait for the right shafts. Two months is a very long time to wait and must be driving you mad. The shutdown and re--opening of golf is still playing havoc with everything.

Hi

are the KBS C Taper Lite regular and MCC Plus 4 grey grips affected by these shortages ?

While I appreciate what's happening within the industry due to Covid 19 I do think it's bad form when your not kept in the Loop. I ordered my Irons through American Golf on the 20.09.20 and only yesterday they informed me their is a delay due to my Desired Grips being out of stock and that they will hopefully be back in stock on Monday 19th October whereupon my Clubs will be Built...! If this is the case why wasn't I asked if I'd like a different Grip ? I have other friends who have had there orders filled and delivered and other Pro's who are turned Clubs round in 14 days. Is it a wonder we are all getting fed up and are seeking refunds.

As I’ve previously said ordered mine on 8/9/20 , still no delivery, please Mizuno don’t take anymore orders until you have restocked on supplies and you can deliver on time whether it would be 10 / 20 /25 /30 days

I ordered some MMC in September but cancelled my order when I heard there was going to be a likely 2 month delay. Why buy clubs that will have depreciated before I play with them?
I found this out only through Forum friends, my chosen retailer didn’t know. It isn’t good practice to P* off customers and Mizuno really should make more effort to update retailers. I will review my purchase now and Mizuno may miss out on my cash.
I hope they can sort the Service side. I have heard talk of quality control beginning to be a little suspect as well, which would be a great shame and big error in a competitive market. We love Mizuno because they are the best in terms of quality for a major manufacturer. Sort them out MPX 😁

What i am hearing is that now theres shortages of certain shafts. Which is causing additional delays. Its a combination of COVID related manufacturing issues as well as golf is booming again COVID related. There's also the responsibility of Mizuno communicating to retailers and fitters that they are short on certain components and heads. The 921 is new so i am not sure the delay with yours. I ordered MMC end of August and still haven't received it. Fortunately I live in California where we can play golf throughout the whole year. I feel bad for customers who only has limited months of the year to play.

Perhaps I'm a bit late to this party here...

The first point I want to make is from an earlier thread of someone comparing these to the P770's from Taylormade. I think it's better to compare those irons to the JPX 921 Tour vs the Forged, whereas the P790's are a much fairer comparison to the Forged since they are both in the player distance category. While the P770's do boast alot of the same features and benefits as the P790's , my data from Trackman was more inline with the tour.

9/18/2020- Got fitted for Irons and ultimately chose the JPX 921 Forged since I still wanted to get some of that Mizuno feel i've grown accustomed to knowing after playing Mizuno for 18years, and the distance was far greater than what I was achieving with my MP-18's. Tried the TM P770 and P790, Callaway Apex Forged, Callaway Maverik Forged, Titleist t200's, Mizuno JPX Tour and Mizuno JPX Forged. Clear winner- Mizuno JPX Forged.

*** on a side note: It's important to manage your feel expectations. As someone whose gone through three sets of MP's to now these JPX's, the feel difference is drastic. That is not to say the JPX Forged don't feel fantastic as they definitely do feel awesome.****

10/16/2020

In between these weeks there were weekly calls to Mizuno USA to check status. Apologized profusely as I know I was being annoying.

Checked in with my fitter who had informed me a Mizuno box with my last name had arrived, and he proceeded on telling me over the phone " Your Hotmetals are ready"............. Obviously there was a problem there.

Called Mizuno customer service who couldn't do anything for me and deferred back to working with my fitter.

Fury was at an all time high here, but thankfully I got another call from my fitter saying my clubs are coming in and Mizuno had sent the wrong clubs over with the wrong label. :(

10/17/2020

-Got a call from my fitter exactly at 3:03PM EST to tell me my irons finally arrived. HAPPY DAYS.
- Went to my local indoor driving range and the numbers were STAGGERING! For perspective, my 5 iron carry was at 172 on avg, but now I was achieving 189 with avg total's in the 200's.

10/18/2020

-Played my first full 18 with them, and all I can say is money well spent. Could have done without the headache of label swapping, but understandable.

THANKS MIZUNO..... Here's to many more years of being a loyal player.

After querying with local Mizuno agent, I was alerted today that the shafts for my JPX 921 are out of stock and that the clubs will be further delayed. Shafts ordered were Project X 6.0 stiff so anybody else in a similar position is likely to be impacted. Unfortunately, the local agent never alerted me to this shaft issue even though Mizuno had told him about it nearly a month ago. I am based in Cape Town, South Africa. Looks like it will take about 3 months for my clubs to arrive from the date of order, so I would take the 20-25 days quoted by Mizuno with a large pinch of salt. Unfortunately Mizuno have dropped the ball badly this year.

Yikes man..... my guess would be since most of these shaft companies are based in the USA, we have two things working against us. 1. The pandemic has definitely messed up the supply chain. 2. We have a highly contentious presidential election going on right now. Although all shafts are probably made in China, deliveries are certainly getting delayed.

I think this is rampant across all golf companies at this time. I do think there could be better communication between the manufacturers and the fitters/custom made items. In the overall grand scheme of things this is a small issue but it is frustrating. I have been waiting for mine since last week of August
