I was playing in the Genesee County All Star classic and after the 1st day I was leader.

On the 2nd round I was playing OK until I came to the 13th hole and got a double bogey then on the 14th hole I received a 10 on a par 4. I was trying to hang in there and be positive but it was really tough thinking that I wouldn't even make the cut after those 2 holes then 3 holes later I got my 1st hole in one I number 17 A 141 yd par 4.

I just Purchased a new set of JPX9192 Tour irons With thin the last 2 weeks and that's what I got a hole in one with an 8 iron which was my 1st hole in 1 I've ever had.

Got my first hole in one today!! Was golfing with my daughter at Roseland Golf Club. 4th hole was measuring 189 into the wind and I hit a pure 4 iron (jpx800 pro). Bounced twice, short roll right into the cup. Awesome!,

Let me first explain that this is more of a story of divine intervention than it is a story of skill. My 20 handicap will attest to that. I am a self proclaimed hacker and whacker at heart and enjoy the game very much but a scratch golfer, I am not. While I am not a religious man, there was a series of events leading up to the shot that led to this bizarre scenario. The first was when selecting clubs to warm up with, my father-in-law and playing partner David Jahn plays this course very often and is a member and knowing the course and the hole we were starting on told me to "grab your 180 club because that will be the distance of your first shot. So thinking nothing of it I grab my 5 iron and a few wedges and proceed to duff shot after shot on the range.

After my disappointing "pre-work" we head over to hole #3 and low and behold the marker is set at 180 yards just as I was instructed so a club of choice was already predetermined. I head up to the tee box and plant my ball. After a few practice swings I address the ball and just seconds before my backswing we hear in the distance "Hey wait you need to have the boys come to watch." This was coach Henniga (sp?) calling off in the distance because this hole needed a spectator or attester for a valid shot. So I back off my ball and wait the few seconds for the basketball boys to make the trip over to the tee. While we are waiting, my son Oliver said to me "Daddy I forgot to give you a good luck hug". So I got my pre-round good luck hug from my caddie and re-addressed my ball once the basketball players arrived. With no thought or practice swings I just grip-it-and-rip-it. The ball takes a beautiful flight path that ends in two hops onto the green and disappears. Now I have been burned before and came close where the ball was in a valley or over the green so I asked the basketball boys to run up and take a look. Once they got to the green my partner said "if they take more than 5 steps off the cart its in the hole", knowing that if it wasn't in a low spot on the green it was money. The boys get up to the green and hover over the hole and hold up a "goal post signal" which meant I had fulfilled a bucket list item I have wanted for a long time. After we all celebrate and hoot and holler I came to realize that I had also just won a new car. I just couldn't believe it was all happening. So we go about our round, after all that was only the first shot of the whole tournament. We proceeded to play two more holes out and coach Henniga (sp?) comes around and says "Hey I got good news" and to me I am thinking "how is it possible to get better than this?". He goes on to explain that I had not only won one car, but two because two separate dealerships had insured that hole. I almost passed out at that point and needed a beer as soon as possible.

So like I said, divine intervention played a huge roll in this story and I am just glad that Oliver got to be a part of it and that I got that "good luck hug" because without it, I would probably have put it in the pond.

I have had 3 hole in ones in just over 30 days. I put my backup Mizuno MP32's into play. On a 168 yard par 3 at my local course. All 3 have been in the evening.
The first ace was when the light was getting bad. Ball was on a good line but i lost sight of the ball in the sunlight when it landed on the green. I heard the ball hit the flag. Playing partner thought it was going to be close.
The second ace was on the same hole but a blue flag. 175 yards. MP32 5 iron right at the flag. One of the best iron shots i have ever hit. The hair on the back of my neck was standing up after it went in.
Last night, same hole # 5 168 yards, same Mizuno MP32 5 iron, hit the shot a little left of the hole one bounce and rolls in the hole.
What are the odds of 3 aces on the same hole?
I play a newer set of Titleist AP2's but just put the the Mizuno MP32's back into play. The MP32's are no longer my backup clubs. Titleist clubs are for sale.

Have you holed out with a Mizuno? Tell us where, how far, which iron you used - and if anyone saw it.
Had my first ace on Dec 8, 2019 on Prestonwood CC Meadows Course #10. Hit a perfect high draw 148 yds using my JPX900 8-iron.

Yes, made one today, 05/01/2020. Dave Gifford on hole #13 at Eagle Point Golf Club, OR. Witnessed by Bob Moore, Dave Jones, and Jim Hageman. Par 3, 154 yards, slightly uphill into a stiff breeze. Had my “Sunday” bag with 2 wedges, 8i, 5i, 3w, and putter. JPX900 Hot Metal irons that are awesome. Didn’t think I could get it there with my 8i so I hit a 3/4 knockdown 5i that hit the front of the green and rolled about 30’ into the hole. Couldn’t buy drinks for my buddies because the bar was closed due to Covid 19. Friends said they have long memories and will get their drink when things open back up. MIZUNO HOT METALS ROCK!!! 😎 Thank you Mizuno
