4th Place for ST-180

Longest carry and 4th equal with the Rogue. INteresting to see 3 of top 4 are low spin variants (G400 LST, Rogue SZ and ST-180)

Are you tempted to get one Chris?  I saw the ST-180 in a pro shop on Sunday and it looks as mean Bonobobananas on the lash!

It’s funny, I tried most of the top drivers and I found the ST-180, Cobra F8 and Titleist 917 to be very similar in performance and much better than the TM’s and Callaway Rogues

I wonder if adding one degree of loft to the GT-180 would land it much higher in the ranking. The ball speeds it generates are some of the best but it is also one of the lowest launching drivers in the test.

They (St and gt) both need to be lofted up for maximum benefit unless you hit up on the ball massively. 

That for me is the weakness of the 9.5 head; that it won’t suit most golfers. Added loft tends to make it hooky. If I’m being super fussy, would probably have been better with the standard neutral loft as 10.5 for the one head and 13 for the other. I would say very few if any people will play this driver at 8.5. That would have made the majority of fittings not needing to add or reduce loft too much. It’s still bleeedin good.
