How many shafts have retailers been given to use for custom fitting?
I popped into a major retailer on the A14 and they only had one! Thanks in advance, Eddzoid

In earlier versions of the Mizzie website yo used to be able to look at all the fitting centres and it would tell you whether they did iron fitting, wood fitting or sold clothing and accessories. On the present website it seems to indicate that only the "Performance Centres" have extended wedge and wood fitting packs. Having been in a couple of places that sell the driver, but do not have a fitting pack, they have usually had a choice of 2 different shafts in regular and stiff but less choice in the fairway wood shafts.

Most would have had some kind of shaft pack with the woods.  So they've either sold them, lost them, put in a cupboard or never bought the drivers to start with......possible they've picked up one through another source.

I called all the performance centres on the main site (10 if I recall) and only 3 of the 10 had the shaft/head combo I wanted to try, none of which were anywhere close by to where I live.

Im booked for a fitting this afternoon at 3 Hammers for a Mizuno event so am hoping they have the Speeder 757 shaft for a 3 Wood and the Pro Hybrid shaft for the 16 deg hybrid to try, if not then it is a wasted journey.

Had a good fitting session this afternoon, Jaco was once again on form with the suggestions he made.

Helped me realise that the 16 hybrid v 3W battle is going to be a fairway wood.

Which one is now the decision, after gripping down a bit on the 3W (a suggestion from Jaco) I started getting the numbers I was after. The decision now is do I get a 3W cut down 1/2" at 16deg or a standard length 5W lofted down to 16deg?

Glad to hear you had a good session - If you are only going to carry one wood I would suggest a 5 wood - I have both the 3 & 5 JPX850 woods and they are superb - The JPX900 is probably even better if they fit your budget? - I have the Fuji Tour Spec 6.3 in both mine & the 5 wood in particular is a rocket launcher! - I mentioned on the "HDYD" thread I hit it through the green on a Par 5 the other day when the yardage to centre was 285y - Not bad for a old geezer with a dodgy back! - You could crank the 5 wood down a degree or two & Robert would be your mother's brother! - Good luck ...
