mizuno jpx 900 forged

So i had a fitting done and the fitter recommended the jpx 900 forged with a nippon modus 130 S. now looking back at the data i see that the 6 iron was spinning very low compared to my current 6i which is around 5900. has anyone seen the same trend with the jpx forged? was the fitter just trying to sell me some expensive stuff?
here is the data:

i think trackman was not giving the correct club head speed. fitting was done outdoors

I didn't look at my spin rates today but I must say I am hugely impressed with these clubs.

Did a gapping session today and managed to carry a 6 iron 195 yards going for a big one. That is just crazy distance for an old man.

In the end with some more normal shots the average carry was 180 but that's still 13 yards further than my 850 forged.

End carry figures were
4 iron 198
5 iron 188
6 iron 180
7 iron 169
8 iron 154
9 iron 138
PW    123

A few tweaks required but I love these clubs :)

Impressive numbers!

Looks to me like your controlled swing is easily your most efficient, 151 smash factor.

Who cares about spin numbers, what does the ball do when it gets to target, at your level you know that is the only thing that matters.  If you can replicate, the numbers mean near zero.

Ive got the 900 forged with Ctaper Lite S in, distances are up on my old set MP63, but thats mainly due to the lofts being a lot stronger (1 full club at 4,5 & 6 irons)

I know they are stronger but that doesnt bother me in the slightest as they feel awesome to hit.

Just purchased my first Set of Mizuno Forged Irons Ever...Read so much on Performance, Feel etc that I had to buy.  Tried the other Name brands and kept coming back to Mizuno.

If the Snow ever Melts, than I will be able to get the results I am hoping for.

Is it fair to characterise the 900 forged as a slightly hotter, slightly lower spin and launch version of the 850 forged? Can anyone compare the two, how are the distance gaps throughout the set?

There is nothing wrong with your spin numbers.

Due to the fact the 900 Forged 6-Iron with a loft of 27° is a 5-iron, I would expect in a good fitting spin numbers around 5.000 RPM.

If you would play a classic 6-iron loft of 30° you will see 6.000 RPM.
