Hi John ... Sorry to hear about your health issues, but better to find out like you did rather than wake up surrounded by angels! - I'm sure if you take all the good advice on board you'll be fine & I look forward to sharing an Irn Bru with you in May ... Paul

Seanmor,
Make sure you are on the mend, Northern Event won't be the same without you.
Reminds me of a ski trip a few years ago in Alpe d'Huez.
One of our group was 61. Very fit. Non smoker, very little alcohol. In really good shape. Absolute last person in the world (at that age) you would expect to have health issues.
He had an heart attack in the middle of the night at the hotel.
Now it takes a while to get down to the main roads from Alpe d'Huez and his life was only saved when the heart surgeon met the ambulance en route to the hospital and did emergency surgery in the back of the ambulance.
As PauBoy say, you were in the right place at the right time.

Only just seen this. Hope all quietens down for you soon. Just make sure to keep taking the tablets.
I’ve been on a c o c k tail of blood thinners, statins and antiarrhythmic pills for some years. These, together with industrial quantities of glucosamine keep me going.
Keep positive and eat as many chocolate biscuits as you can.
