Seanmor,

Make sure you are on the mend, Northern Event won't be the same without you.

Reminds me of a ski trip a few years ago in Alpe d'Huez.

One of our group was 61. Very fit. Non smoker, very little alcohol. In really good shape. Absolute last person in the world (at that age) you would expect to have health issues.

He had an heart attack in the middle of the night at the hotel.

Now it takes a while to get down to the main roads from Alpe d'Huez and his life was only saved when the heart surgeon met the ambulance en route to the hospital and did emergency surgery in the back of the ambulance.

As PauBoy say, you were in the right place at the right time.

Hi Lee,

Thank you, I'll try not to do anything that might hinder me attendance at the Forum day mate,

That was a good result for your friend,

One of Netta's friends had just such a lucky break, she was going over to Ireland on the ferry and suffered a stroke fortunately for her sitting just a couple of rows away was a nurse from the stroke unit in Belfast Victoria Hospital who recognised her symptoms the nurse phoned ahead to the hospital and had the ambulance and surgery team waiting,

Fortunately she mad a full recovery as she was in the right place at the right time...!

Only just seen this. Hope all quietens down for you soon. Just make sure to keep taking the tablets.

I’ve been on a c o c k tail of blood thinners, statins and antiarrhythmic pills for some years. These, together with industrial quantities of glucosamine keep me going.

Keep positive and eat as many chocolate biscuits as you can.

Hi OhBoy,

Everything looks to be a bit more settled now heart rate and blood pressure are all behaving them self's now and so far no chest pain or light headedness to speak off so the tablets look to be doing their job...!

As for eating as many chocolate biscuits as I can her that must be obeyed has stopped buying them and has put me on a healthy diet,

From now on I'm not allowed to eat anything that makes me happy...! ;)
