Training week

Hello golfers

I will have some free time soon and I am planning to do a week or so of intensive Training.
Can someone recommend a good golf School?

I would like to have some lessons per day, on course Training and if possible an nice Resort/Hotel somewhere
in Europe. Would prefer a package and found something in Germany Bad Griesbach and in Mallorca, but I am looking
for further alternatives and hope for some ideas.

Thanks for sharing,
Oli

Have a look at this site:- http://davidshortgolf.co.uk/

It has been recommended to me but I have yet to try any of the packages.

Also try Golf Made Simple.  I've been thinking about the same sort of thing Oli and I liked the look of their approach.

Mainly USA but they do have dates in Alicante, Spain...

Thanks for the two ideas - especially the golf made simple in Alicante looks promising. Will check this one out.
Just had a lesson with my local pro... just a snap hook ;-) so there is plenty of work in the next weeks!

My woman has just returned from a three day intensive equestrian course and she learnt tons.

Focused training, practicing and theory had her and her horse doing jumps and courses she hadn't dreamed of.

I know it's a bit of a tangent but focused training seems so effective. Full on and tiring but surely great for long term development.

I try and do a week a year of focused practice (I don't have kids yet) usually pre season in Turkey - sunrise to sunset full on golf.  It really helps move my game on.  I've found it works well with one friend, more than that and it turns into more of a beers with the lads arrangement.

Having a coach to work with  would be ideal but not cheap.

Dear Zombie - just joined the forum but not sure how to send messages, so sorry to post a message on this topic. I have just qualified for a competition at Craigielaw in July and would like to get a practice run with a member who can show me the course etc. Would you be able to help me out please - thanks  - Morris mhughes667@aol.com

Hi Zombie

Yes, firstly I had a lesson with our headpro, which helped me already a lot. It is kind of strange, that this one lesson resulted in a really good improvement compared to the last lessons, which were not helping me at all (different pro).

Same problems I had in the past which crept back in - shifting of hips, Hands not before the ball, to hard swinging... and more ;-)

Then I have booked 1-day Kagami training in June a bit more for the mental side. Hope this helps me to keep the rythm/speed in control as I sometimes just want too much on the course. Looks like this Kagami-thing is just available in Germany. Will report!
