Probably 3 for me but I do feel there's a cracking round or two in me. My big aim for this year is Cat 1 but that will be difficult without a club :)

This seems like a pre 'cleaning up on the prizes' guilt thread.

Brattz you should be off of 5 mate

Bananas....

You never know how the season will unfold 'cough' 'beat handicap again on friday in a NQ' 'cough'

My target is to be back down to Cat 1 by end of season. Need to avoid having a blip in 2 round comps, it happened 3 times last year and cost me .6 in 3 days!!!

The march to 5 has started. Two Handicap Q's played so far and a 0.4 reduction, down to 6.6. In NQ's I have already had 3 under par/handicap so I am under monitor I have been told by the Handicap secretary....

Why don't you submit supplementary cards Brattz?

If you're playing well and want to reduce the handicap then its the quickest way to do it, unless of course your'e managing your handicap so you can beat Bananananas and myself when we come to your gaff :)

I play in over 40 Q's in the year so don't really need to add any more cards! Plus I hand in all of my NQ cards from 4BBB comps etc..

Don't worry, I'll have lost a shot before you guys come to town. ;)

There have always been players with bragging golf handicaps, and those with betting golf handicaps. I do not believe this will ever change.
The braggers only post their lowest scores and dismiss anything less as a "practice round" not worthy of posting.
The betting handicap crowd does what they can to establish a relatively high handicap.
The honest handicap players count every shot, every round, period.

Up until this year the only golf I played was 2 or 3 club comps per week 45 weeks p.a.
We use modified US slope down here so all club comps. are recorded for handicap .
Now play one or two club comps per week plus a social round by myself for relaxation and do not keep score.

In the UK only competition rounds count for handicap purposes.

I look forward to hearing more about the universal, worldwide scheme being proposed
