I've prepared a PowerPoint presentation for tomorrow as I'm supposed to hold a "rules evening" at our club. Last year we had a guy from the union do it, he has worked as a rules official in The Open and in the U.S. Open but this year it's me. :D

Can you get it recorded? I think it would be great to post something like that.

No way, Jose!

Actually, I'm glad the club staff hasn't thought of such a possibility in the day of live streaming, Youtube and whatnot. :D I'm not very keen on seeing myself in photos or even random videos, even less so seeing myself "on stage".

I also doubt how useful it would be for you for instance as I have doubts about your proficiency in the Finnish language. :)

Well, it's easier to lecture people on the Rules of Golf and answer their questions than to play golf.

The staff at the club from the CEO to the club pro etc. were pleased with the evening and they think we should hold another one. Now I just need to negotiate a good deal for my next year's membership fees. :D

The MP-4s are coming around. I'm firing them at the pins but my woods have gone down the drain. I thought I had them figured out when warming up at the range today but then duck hooked two drives OB off the first tee and I kept on trying to figure it out without much of a success.

Maybe next time.

Somehow, we managed to play nine between rain storms.

I started out with 4 bogeys and I only managed those with some brilliant putting. Then I made 5 straight pars to shoot 40, without making one single birdie putt. Feast or Famine.

I was pretty happy with the new 900 driver. I set the loft at 10.5* and the weights at the toe and heel, but I think I'm inclined to go heel and mid position in the center slot.

I'm hoping to play again Monday if this insane weather lets me.
I've had a good day if I didn't fall out of the cart...

Been a quiet week for me on the golf course - Tuesday our club match at Guildford was cancelled due to heavy rain & wind - Thursday I did manage to play in another match, at Burhill - We played on the Old Course which was a real treat - The course is being prepared for Regional Qualifying for the Open and is playing very tough with super slick greens - I was playing 4BBB format & my partner & I gelled very well to win 7&6! - I was a bit erratic to start with but played well after that - It was windy (gusting to 4 clubs) and I had drives that barely made 200y as opposed to a couple down wind iro 290y
Today I played in the rollup at New Forest - Breezy but warm - Really struggled to concentrate today, mainly due to my blocked ear - Hit several bad shots, mainly with fairway woods, which I wouldn't normally expect to hit - The good form of a month ago that saw me achieve my lowest ever handicap (4.3) has deserted me - Hopefully this is also down to my ear? - I have appointment next week for a second attempt to unblock it, fingers crossed it works this time & I can start enjoying my golf again ... 1st round of Club Champs today.Reasonably happy with a +3 nett .Very windy, testing conditions and as i kept driver at home and put the old faithful R9 3 wood in i was thinking i may struggle.Hit the  3 wood unbelievably well and my 4,5 and 6 iron were flushed everytime i pulled them out of the bag.My only concern was the fact i threw away so many shots on the front 9 with poor execution of my wedges.I counted 5 miss hits at least .Missed 4  putts which could have gone in with a bit more luck.So i'm 7 back in scratch comp and 4 back in hcp comp, but only 3 back of 2nd place in both.

Played 2nd round of Club Champs on Sunday.Even stronger wind than saturday ,made it really tough again.Started with a nice par and then hit 2 great shots to leave me 80yds from pin on par 5 second.Thinned through the back and walked off with a 7.Played ok after that until the 6th where i had another double. So 6 over front 9.Played steady round the back again but missed a few putts until i rolled one in for birdie on 17th.Great drive and another great 7 iron into 18 left me with a breaking 8 footer but i left it just short.Another 39 on back fro a gross 80 ,nett 71.Overall 144.Just missed out in the hcp by 2 shots, tied 3rd place and came 6th in the gross Club Championship .162 total with 154 winning it.Very pleased although it was a case of "what could have been".

Not posted for a bit on this!
Me and 3 mates finished 3rd in the AmAm at Longcliffe on Friday with 85pts.
on Saturday I played the front 9 well (38) for 18pts and then had a meltdown coming back in 45....(13pts).

Been playing decent of late but the ball striking with the irons has just petered off a bit. Gonna work on that this week to just refresh the swing and get that crisp contact going again.

Shot a very indifferent 42 this morning. I don't have any one particular thing right or wrong. I've just been really inconsistent day to day with any and every part of my game.

My grandson is here with my, so I probably won't play again until next Monday after he's gone to the other grandparents. It sure was fun to have him along this morning though.

Played in team day at Guildford on Monday - Started well with putts for birdie on first 3 holes (birdied the Par 5 3rd) - Then caught a bad lie on 4th where I dropped my only shot on front 9 & birdied Par 5 8th to have 21pts at turn - Then as has been the norm of late, I threw too many shots away on the back 9 & had 5x 1pt scores, finishing with 15pts (scored 8pts on 3x holes!) - 36pts was decent, but disappointed after such a good start - I was still best score in our team, but we were 3pts short of the win & finished joint 3rd
