Played in our Christmas bash at New Forest on Saturday - Course was not affected by the recent snow but was wetter than an otter's pocket! - Cold with a biting wind & playing off club handicap (5) I scrambled my way round in 36pts - No where near the prizes but my first turkey dinner of the season was very nice
Paul
PS - I bumped into Dame Laura Davies at the driving range on Friday (she was playing in a Charity event there)
Only 28* colder than Dubai last week

Hi Paul,

I do hope it was only a very slight bump and didn't affect your driving ability in anyway...! ;) :D

Two games this week at Guildford - Tuesday I played in a fourball with my pal from Spain - A couple of nice birdies but also a pair of blobs, so not much to write home about although we still took the money in the match ...
Today (Thurs) I played in another fourball with the guys I usually play in comps with - Managed to keep the blobs down to one, but only one birdie - With two holes to play we were 2 behind on the back 9 & 1 up in the match - After the 17th we were 1 ahead on the back & 3 up in the match! - We took the money ...
Probably my last game for a week ( ) Off to Devon for a "family" get together ...

Money on your pocket? In would be better :)

75 with a lost ball on Boxing Day. The new swing is taking shape but many more hours on the range required before horrors like my drive on the third hole ( 30 degrees left into the bundu) will be eradicated.

I hope everyone’s had a fun few days ;)

Good scoring mate.

I played today and it was icy and frost bound. Every bunker was frozen solid which was novel but our upturned greens were hard to hold.

Surprised they opened the course really.

Unusual for a links course to be that bad. Shows just how cold it's been overt the past few days. Great for measuring your drives though ;)
