I have to admit, I've never felt much brand loyalty towards anything, whether it was my clothes, car, guitars or golf equipment. That is, until I bought my first set of used Mizuno irons and realized they actually did feel better than the Callaways, Titleists and Taylormades I'd used in the past. Every company brags about their stuff, but finding those old MX1000 irons was a mental game changer for me.

Unlike many golfers, seeing some pro play the same brand I do never really inspired me or made me want to root for that particular pro. All of a sudden I find myself rooting for Luke, Chris, Stacy or anyone else I can ID using Mizuno equipment.

I know the pros are not using the game improvement models I use, but seeing the running bird in their bags, all of a sudden means something to me, so bye bye Nike... Adios Taylormade... Nothing feels like a Mizuno...
I've had a good day if I didn't fall out of the cart...

Very nicely put Big D.

It must be such a boost for all the Mizuno staff to see players with a choice picking Mizuno.

Yes - afraid Magnus is no longer contracted.  Doesn't mean that he's not playing the equipment.

Will be a news piece in the not too distant future with our full list of players signed for the season.

Slightly the other way round, in that during the early 90's, I was looking to change irons and my two golfing icons at the time were Seve and Payne Stewart. Such was the influence of the latter on me, not only did I buy the Wilson Staff Progressive Forged clubs 2-sw, during a holiday in California, but myself and a friend also bought 7 NFL coloured plus 4 outfits, including colour coded flat caps. Monthly medals at West Malling Golf club were a sartorial feast (in my eyes anyway). We had to check before leaving that we weren't wearing the same team 'uniform'.

I see Jonas Blixt was using Mizuno irons (MP5 & MP25 combo) when he & Cameron Smith won the Zurich Classic team event on the PGA this weekend

It's great to see, I've always found it amazing how many amateurs use Mizuno irons yet, due to limited sponsorships, very few pros did.  When they get the choice and aren't on 14 club deals, it's amazing how many sets sneak into bags.

I have MP5 jealousy lol
