Serial Numbers - what should i look for?

I just got a new set of Mizuno Mp-53. They look beautiful. Finally replaced my Cobra Oversize circa 1994.

My question is that all the serial numbers on the hosel from 4-PW match, but the 3 Iron has a different serial number. Is this something I should be concerned about? I bought them from an authorized online dealer in the US. Thanks.

was it stock shafts or custome?

Also most 'sets' are 4-PW now and a 3 iron is 'added' if requested. I wouldnt worry about it, what is it that concerns you anyway as I've never looked at serial numbers on my clubs......ever!

Serial Numbers are laser etched to the shaft just below the grip on current Mizuno clubs - I'd get them checked ASAP.

Thats good to know. I hope it works out well for the original poster.
I may be a little paranoid as I was unfortunately caught up with fake Mizzy's last year.

I did think that the curent line up had serials on the shafts.
Can anyone else shed light on this?
Is it different in the US??

Europe - serial numbers are on the shafts just under the grips - the gold numbers on the ferrule are fitting numbers for custom clubs (not serial numbers)

US - serial numbers on the hosel.

Again - a sticky about serial numbers - any chance?

Tour Edge 3 wood PX 6.0
Mizuno MP33 3 - PW S300

do you mean just under as in actually have to remove the grips to see it, or just below the grips?
Mine definitly dont have any numbers below the grips and its a stock shaft- worried now

Don't get too hung up on serial numbers - if you bought them from an authorised dealer and they were custom fitted - then they're unlikely to be fake.

Called Mizuno today and they said that as long as I bought the clubs from an authorized dealer it's all good. He even said that it's possible that I could even end up with different serial numbers (hosel) for each club. He didn't sound too confident in his answer. I am going to try to call back tomorrow and get more clarification and I'll post back.
