I've had my MX23's for nearly 3 years now, looking worn on half the irons, fancy a change to MP52's as they look so beautiful, would they not be forgiving enough for my HCP of 17 ??

I don't like the look of the MX200's so would not consider them

I have recently been fitted for my MX200's at the national fitting centre in New Malden, Surrey.
The whole experience was great from start to finish and I was put under no pressure whatsoever to purchase anything.
I was used to playing with graphite shafts (my previous two sets of irons had been shafted this way) but after viewing the results it was suggested that I went back to steel, with the Nippon 950's suiting my swing speed best of all.
I duly ordered my irons (4-PW) and added the matching 50 and 55 degree wedges as well.
I am very pleased with the results. Having played with the clubs a dozen times or more since receiving them I am hitting my irons as well as I was 5 or 6 years ago. I've got my distance back!!
I would recommend the fitting centre to anyone.

I have recently been fitted for the MX200's by their excellent fitting specialist Roland at Mizunos Scottish Fitting Centre in Glasgow. I went in with the idea of getting the MP52's and came out with he MX200's. Why? Because when you have the ability to compare clubs over a 1.5 hour period it's amazing what you learn about how you strike the ball from the Pro. It was very thorough, as i progressed through the different measurements, Trackman analysis(measuring distance, spin rate and launch degree) and ball striking comparison the 'Pro' was changing shaft's (make and fle), loft/lie and length of shaft. As time progressed I was focusing on a choice of the 52's or the 200's with a specification that suited my swing. I am 5' 10'' and if asked I would have thought I was a pretty standard fit but I have ended up with a shaft +0.5 .... which could explain the occasional topped shot along with 5.5 Rifle shafts (i hit the ball high and these appear to keep it on a lower trajectory with a lower spin rate and so adding distance). Why the 200? Simply the level of forgiveness it provides is unbelievable and provided me with great confidence. I am still playing them in but I think they will be with me for some time to come!!!!
The important thing is to
1. Listen to the advice of the experts
2. Be open minded in your choice of clubs. I am currently playing off 16 and already with the 200's after 2wks I can see the difference and I've set myself the goal of 12/13 by the end of the year.
3. Take your own 6 iron with you to compare
Whilst clubs and shop have their own fitting centres not many will have such a wide selection of shaft, loft and lie options....and the great thing is that its free which is another plus for Mizuno!

Well, went for my custom fitting session with Kurt Mungal at Lothianburn Golf Club in Edinburgh this morning and was very impressed indeed.

We first of all talked about my game and my typical shot shape, then he measured my height, wrist to floor measurement and hand length. He then measured the length, loft and lie of my current clubs and reckoned they were probably an inch too short for me and a couple of degrees too flat, as far as the lie was concerned. This would certainly explain why I seem to be hitting everything left of target!

I was then handed a 'taped-up' MX 200 iron, which would show both where on the club the ball had been struck and also where on the sole the club had made contact with the mat I was playing off. Incredibly, every single shot I hit with it was straight out of the sweet spot, with each ball impression being almost directly on top of the previous one! The mark on the sole also indicated that I was hitting the ball on the correct swing plane. Kurt even questioned whether I really was a 21 handicapper, which was nice to hear!

So, bottom line is that an order has been placed for a set of shiny new MX200's, 3 iron to pitching wedge, plus a 55 degree sand wedge, half an inch longer than standard, 2 degrees upright and with two wraps of tape underneath the grips. I'll get an e-mail in the next 7-10 days and will then be invited to collect them and hit some balls with Kurt present, just to make sure I'm happy with the clubs. Can't wait to try them out on the course!

Ooohhh Yes !!
Went to Clays in Wrexham ,and got custom fitted for a set of MP52's

I went there to try MX200's ( I had some old MX20 ) and it turned out I
hit the Mp52's much better.

The great thing is the session is free and lasted 90+ mins.

MIZUNO ARE PURE CLASS !!
