Where do they publish the spec?

Thinking MP18 for example.

And can you specify it when buying custom irons?

Have some "home made" MP-69s with C-taper shafts.

Compared to a Mizuno supplied MP-59, the 59 swing weight feels a lot lighter.

Concerned a custom order will have heads that feel too light.

Mizuno irons are around D2 as standard with wedges being more towards D3

Mizuno have A and B heads, generally b heads are for custom builds requiring much longer shaft lengths than standard; B heads being lighter than A heads naked of shafts if that makes sense.

Like Walker cup says. . 2 types of head for the custom fit process.
swingweight for " off the shelf " sets are around D 2. but Mizuno state in their catalogue vary from D0 - D3,

As for custom fit swingweight is your preference, when filling out the custom fit order,, what ever you want they will make up the set to that swingweight, .

The wedges are always 1-2 swingwights more-

Makes sense.

My 2 x custom T7 wedges feel fine.

What is the reason for the wedges having a higher swing weight?

More controlled swing, specially round the greens where you have a slow and steady swing..

Is it true they do not make ANY B heads for lefties? Setting up +2" shafts and my fitter said he's going to have to grind down the standard heads to cut weight because mizuno doesn't make B heads for lefties. Please confirm thanks.

Larger heavier grips or counter balance at the butt end of the club will solve the problem of an A Mizuno head if b not available. Great if you require thicker grips. If you have smaller hands it might be an issue but a good club fitter should be able to counter balance each club all the same.
