Big thanks to Hursty for a heads up on a 7 wood with a senior shaft. Order placed with our friends at Snainton, so,  hopefully this time ;)

I just bought a slightly-used Mizuno Tour Stand bag online for 30 Euros. The seller is visiting my hometown in a couple of weeks so I'll need to wait for it for a while. I'm not exactly sure of what I'll do with it but at least it was cheap. :D

I couldn’t get on with that, the ST180 was far better for me. Cobra F8 was close but didn’t like the colour :)

The bay is having a 20% off day today so picked up a Pro Cart Bag for the new season. Decided to use the trolley more this year and a stand bag on a trolley really annoys me.

Will see if it's any good, otherwise I've got my eye on importing a Vessel Cart Bag, seriously nice.

Since I haven't been able to play, I haven't been buying any golf equipment, not even a new hat or shirt. It's amazing how much money I have when I'm not buying golf stuff!!!

I did buy some new guitars recently. At least one of them is blue...

That's a Yamaha APX500 and I sold the exact same model in brown on eBay some time ago.
Great guitar for the money, I just did not play it enough.

Exactly right. This is the version 3. The new version 4 just came out, so it's becoming one of the longer running numbers in the Yamaha line. It sounds a bit thin unplugged, but plugged in, it can stand up to the performance of any of my high priced guitars.

Considering the color, I should put a Mizuno sticker on it.

I had a Yamaha Pacifica 112 but I never really learned to play well and sold the whole set, no athletic or musical abilities in me. I'd like to try Yamaha golf clubs though. :)

New midsized grip bought and fitted to my nice new JPX 7 wood.  All I need now is the snow to melt, the course to dry out and the sun to shine to promote a bit of growth on the fairways and greens.  That might take a bit of time ;)

I got the Tour Carry bag on Saturday and loaded it for the range today. I have to say I'm disappointed with it.

Years ago, when it came out I thought the materials used looked a bit cheap and I still think so. Loading the clubs into the bag was a struggle as the clubs refused to go all the way to the bottom. Once I had all the clubs in, it was easy to pull one out and put it back though. I also found it stupid there's no separate holder for the water bottle near the base. Putting the bottle into the sleeve blocks the access to the pocket behind it while it doesn't limit the volume of the pocket as much as I thought.

The opening of the valuables pocket seems to be too thin, scraping my fingers while trying to pull something out from there. I've also struggled to find a good setup for the straps to make the bag feel balanced while carrying, it feels very top heavy. Also, even though I had three layers of clothing on, the straps and the strap padding on the back  felt harsh.

The legs and the divider work well (once you get all the clubs in) but that's not enough (nor the logo we all love) to replace my Ogio Ozone as my go-to carry bag. I'll give it a go on the course but I'm quite sure it'll just confirm my observations thus far.

Maybe I'll keep it as a club storage unit or sell it forward, we'll see.
