Woody was struggling with a stiff neck all week....managed some wedges last night.  Full shots today and made it out.  Hopefully he loosens up on the way around.

Woody has had to pull out after getting to the 12th.  Neck wouldn't take it.

Thanks Zombie.  Here's the boys handywork on Nicole's new wedges.

Personally prefer them as they were!

Yes - delivery dates haven't changed.  The official internal launch is next week.  I've got a box of irons by my desk that i can't show anyone.

Does that box include irons from more than one set? :D

Three sets of JPX irons? Heard that no iron in the MP line will be released this year, is this true?

MPX - a simple "Yes and No" would be enough information for today...

That's the rumour on wrx. I'll be irked if there's no MP clubs. Been waiting for a year

What? I'm ready to make quite a big bet there won't be more than the JPX 900 and 900 Forged coming out now. I personally can't see a need for a third one unless the JPX Fli-Hi is being replaced.

The H5 and 15 are done with their two-year cycle and the 4 is already on over time so there most certainly will be new MPs. I think logical thinking goes a lot further than rumours. :D One guy on the WRX says his opinion that isn't based on any facts then a flock of parrots chime in and you have a "truth". No, I din't think so. :) (BTW. I have no idea if several parrot for a flock or something totally different :) )

Dear halebopp, do you have some insight information? It seems to me that everything you say is based on your own assumptions.

I'm registered there and participate occasionally, maybe 2 or 3 posts a year, but I lurk some. There's an imposing amount of knowledge there, but there's an even more imposing amount of blind opinion disguised as informed knowledge.

I much prefer talking with you guys.

In June Stacey Lewis was shown testing 2 different irons and since she doesn't play MP's I expect them to be JPX's.

If you go back to May 2015 on Golfwrx Luke was shown testing a prototype iron supposedly for release in 2017

However earlier this year GC said "In terms of some secrets for you guys at GolfMagic, all I can say is you will be surprised at our launch in 2017. We are typically very
predictable at a fault, but we have a surprise for you next year."

No, it's just my own speculation. There was one guy on WRX with some "credible" information as a fitter but even he was already proved partially wrong when the MP-T7s were introduced. The other people on WRX who say there won't be new MPs this year have used arguments like "they won't release a new blade as no company will carry three different blades". The stupidity of such comments (sorry to put it that bluntly) simply eat away any credibility the "other side" has in my opinion.

I haven't heard anyone say they have first-hand, credible information there won't be any new MPs this year. I do prefer my own rationale over some random guy saying something without any cited sources online. On the other hand I've seen and heard of sets of H5s and 15s discounted in online stores as if they were coming to the end of their cycles. Of course they might just pull the sets from their offerings and not introduce replacements.

I'm not saying I know there will be new MPs, I would only find it very, very odd and disappointing if there weren't. Nor has there been any actual proof that would support any other view than Mizuno going on about its business as per usual and using the two-year cycle. So I'm sticking with that until I'm proven wrong rather than come straight out saying "they're breaking their old pattern this year".

Even from a business perspective it would not make any sense to me. The MP irons are Mizuno Golf's flagship products and going a year without a new release in that segment would most certainly make a dent in their sales and profits. There simply isn't any novelty value in the H5s and 15s anymore. If someone has found them interesting, the person most probably has already bought them already. Not many people are coming across them for the first time now and deciding s/he needs them.

That's not to say I'm thinking about getting the H5 4 iron and 5-PW of MP-4s. :D

That would be my point also hadn't I sidetracked to "mock" the rumours. Why stir the pot with made-up rumours when you can just wait for a week or two for the facts?
