I'm watching the women's golf today. Maybe just me, but the two BBC commentators are just hopeless, getting names wrong, not keeping up with the game at all, and adding very little useful information to what is otherwise quite an entertaining competition.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the commentary is provided by 'Olympic Broadcasting Service golf commentary' and a tweet from one of their journalists said.

Lot of complaints about commentary on world feed, which BBC TV are using. Feel for the 2 commentators who are not here but doing it remotely.

Mizuno is leading and tied for 2nd. Not too shabby.

Interesting information from the Finnish Golf Union. The number of golfing licenses handed to new players from May through to October increased by 44% from last year. The publicity and TV time Olympic golf received certainly had a positive effect. They're expecting the growth for the calendar year to be around 20%.

Not bad and one more reason to consider the tournament a success.
