Yesterday tonyTim, Wotsit and I, along with my Dad went for a reccy round The Oxfordshire. It was a good day out with Wotsit taking the winnings with a solid round. The course was in decent condition and the weather was pretty much fine the whole way round, just a smallamount of rain on a couple of holes.
It is definitely a good challenge of a course, but we all agreed that there were plenty of holes you could score on, and nothing too absurd that would stop everyones enjoyment. Of the yellows yesterday it certainly didn't play too long and everyone manged a few parrs along the way. Practice facilities are good with a decent length range, and the clubhouse and hotel look decent. It's also only a short taxi ride from Thame, so if we want a change of scenery in the evening then that will be easy.
We managed to convince Wotsit to make it up for the Saturday of the main event which is great news. I can still fit a few more people in if anyone has a last minute change once you see the level of competition.
I've posted some photos and video below to entice you.
