Unsurprisingly everyone was asking about plans for 2017. I've had a few ideas but thought I would democratise things a bit this year and get some feedback. So if you're interested in coming along then let me know your thoughts, either in a reply or if you fancy helping me out, through the survey link

How many days do you fancy? Do you want to be in one place or change courses and stay in a seperate hotel? How much are you willing to pay?

All suggestions welcome, but remember at the end of the day this is really a benign dictatorship!

Questionnaire filled out but wouldn't allow me to multiple choice the months, so any month other than May as not to clash with the Northern event.

Some really nice holes at Forest of Arden, the Belfry is another option over that way as well, you've also got Breadsall Priory a bit further north east from both

Cheers guys, appreciate the feedback, sorry it didn't allow more than 1 month selection.

Interestingly quite a lot of preference for August / September...

Yes September can be quite a good month weather-wise & is further from the Northern even in May, so would this encourage some people to consider both rather than (in my own case) deciding which one to attend? - Just a thought ... Paul

I'd go with any of those 3 venues.2 courses at FOA.3 at the Belfry and 2 also at Breadsall. All good tracks too and not to  be selfish, closer for me and Hursty.:)

I'll  echo Kevin comments, September is a good time of year and would certainly be of interest for a wee cross border raid ;)

Firstly, Bubba, your missus didn't mind me fitting into her last year when I was in Rotherham.

Secondly, PaulBoy, there are no other type of shirts other than Polo in my wardrobe!

Hurst out, (awaits some kind of poor retort from bent wrist Bubba)

September is a really good idea.

As others say, good few months away from the May event.

Needs to be north of London.

Travelling south of London takes a long time.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Based on the survey I'm going to target first weekend of September (2nd, 3rd) for the event next year. Given I have 11 months to plan it there is a chance I'll be able to get it right!

Please block that out of your calendars if you are interested and I'll hopefully have more details towards the end of the month.

Course wise the Midlands seems to be a winner, so I'll start in that location. Hopefully it won't be too far for Munky & Jamma to make it, it wouldn't be a southern event without Jerry whingeing the whole way round!

I'm also going to put a little season opener together for late May / early April to get everyone in the mood, nothing serious but try and find a nice little track somewhere to get the group together.
