Can anyone give me the best route to get to St Austell from Norwich. We are playing Carylon Bay & Porthpean this weekend. I realise that there are a few options, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Eddie
Fly ,,, What a lad! - Depends on whether you want motorway or not? - Once you get across to the other side of London (M25 if you pick your time to travel right?) you can either go M4 / M5 down to Exeter & then A road to Cornwall - If you want to stay off motorway then M3 onto A303 (mostly dual carriageway, but with a few notorious bottle-necks like the infamous Stonehenge & the Blackdown Hills section when the A303 joins the A30 - This route also comes out at Exeter though the A30 continues across Devon into Cornwall ...
I use the A303 to visit my son in Torquay & the one time I tried the M5 / M4 to come home there was a major crash & M4 was closed!
Pick your time to travel & it is no problem (early am or late pm) but this might not suit you?
Good luck ... Paul
The RAF won't given us a lift, so that option is out of the question. Plus getting the boss on a plane would be like trying to put B A Baracuss on one. I was thinking about A14, M6 & M5 to Exeter then across from there. Thoughts?
A11,M11,M25,M4,M5,A30,A392.You Dont want to come across to the West Midlands to get on M5.It is absolute chaos at the moment.Enjoy your 400 mile trip.Yikes!!
Cost for flights:- Norwich-Newquay £1600 for 2 & Stansted- Newquay £400 for 2.....I will not be flying!!! I have been informed by the boss that we have to escort her son, so we are going via MK, Oxford & Swindon to M4 then M5. Thanks for your advice guys.
