Yup.  No running bird and no forged metal...
Ohhh.  I shall ask no more...

Hopefully if they are a better fit and perform well then you can start enjoying the game again.  You'll be top dog at Formby!
You've got more faith in my golf than I do mate!

I'm going to get bullied by you golf connesiours but I went with my head this time.  My heart loved the design of the beautiful Mizuno irons* but my heart failed my last time and four years of struggling wasn't worth it.

*exception is the irons with a sole bigger than my foreheid!

Ha ha Hursty.

I tested four heads with various shafts and by far the best combo was the AP1. The look of the EZ JPX forged was lovely but they are no more forgiving than my MP 53s and the cast EZ is super GI for golfers with less skill than me (Bubba, Jonesy, etc.)

Took delivery yesterday so will christen them at the weekend. I'm ready looking forward to playing with clubs that are the right length and lie. Head bought these irons so hope my heart forgives me!

Peter Field at Easton near Norwich. Always has up to date Mizuno stock. I went to get fitted for the JPX EZ driver I won on Facebook & the young lad there, can't remember his name but he used to work at Barnham Broom, tested all the various shafts on Trackman. Eventually we came to the conclusion that the stiff Orochi would be the best for me. This was confirmed when I took the driver to Woburn last Saturday for a fitting. I would recommend them highly.
PS. my driver was delivered there by mistake & they phoned me up straight away to inform me that they had it.

Don't have one!
I have just been fitted for my first set of Mizuno clubs by Steven Scott @ http://www.indoorgolfacademies.co.uk/ very knowledgeable and thorough.  I don't think there are many fitters that could rival his patience and detail.  In my case, my fit was conducted over 2 sessions as Steven - correctly - felt we needed more time to do it properly. (Wasn't swinging the greatest in the first session either, which the later confirmed.)

His details are,

Can anyone recommend one in Hertfordshire?

I've never had much luck with custom fittings. I'm told I'm Mr Regular, regular loft, lie, length, etc.

I'm quite prepared to spend a lot (wonga and time) on getting just a set of clubs for me that are technically correct as well as confidence giving (me agreeing with the technical assessment).

I'm now an 11 handicapper having come down from 24 over the last year and a half (game golf tag is AndyPGG).

It was £25 when I had my fitting there for my MP54's but it might have changed slightly.

Fitting done, can't for the life of me remember the lads name but it wasn't Jon. We had a bit of a balls up at home with child care, missus had a medal which she forgot to let me know about prior to booking. Seeing as she's at home with a 7 month old most of the week I thought it would be a bit sh*tty to get her to withdraw. So went to fitting with the wean in tow. He gurned a bit but not a huge amount and the folks at Bearwood were most accommodating. Don't have my numbers just yet as the lad is emailing them to my work address as at least then I'll know the email won't bounce. When I get the numbers I'll post them. The EZ 3wd and EZ forged irons 4-PW came out on top. I did pretty well with the MP-25s as well. Same shaft in both. Couldn't hit a hybrid, 850 or EZ, without snap-hooking to save my life so I might not bother with them, might get a 5wd and 7wd instead. Dunno. Lots to think about. Best £25 I've spend in a while. Those of you doing the Southern meet-up at Bearwood, if yer interested in a fitting, can't recommend the place enough. Top top folks.
