Good to hear from you again V.  Hope things are OK.  Several posts in a couple of days.  Looks like you're getting back into it?

As I opened my twitter feed yesterday, the attached popped up and I must have misread it several times before I realised it was 'Harry Vardon's clock' that went under the hammer!  At first I thought it was the reason behind the strange noises coming from the Hardon's suite at Formby Hall......

Have stayed at the Westerwood many times.  Hotel is pretty good and useful location between Edinburgh / Glasgow.  Course has been great and average on different occasions.

We ended up at the Dalmahoy in Edinburgh last summer and that had a pretty good balance all round.

Also done a combo of The Carrick and Cameron House.  That was very, very good.  Great location just on Loch Lomond.

Cardrona is south of Edinburgh and a little cheaper.  Nice location and combo of golf / hotel.  Without it being a top top course.

I like cardrona hotel is very good and course is decent enough  the roxburghe is an awesome course but its 45 min drive from here, you could stay at roxburghe hotel but its pricey and bit snobby for the likes of me :)

as has been said by many others regardless of venue I will be there these events are huge success stories thanks to the members who attend the course and hotel are factors but shouldn't cause undue stress to organizers.

im sure both Dee and Zombie had full heads of hair at Formby 2015 :)

We've done Formby for 2 years, so let's go somewhere new.

Scotland looking favourite.

For me, hotel is the priority, I can live with an average course.

With the way you play golf an average course is about right

I'd be very happy with the Carrick provided someone sorts the weather ;). I'd prefer Scotland, it would mean I could have a nice long holiday :D.

For this kind of event?
1- Hotel/location
2- Golf
3- Bar prices

As long as the course is acceptable I don't mind if it isn't awesome. I'll normally play other courses nearby anyway.

Happy with a crazy golf setup. Quick 45 minutes then back to the bar.

Might stretch to 6 hole pitch & putt.

keeping aside from the main event why don't we do a ryder cup type Scotland vs England home and away :) for the Thursday or Friday :)

I met Zombie at lunchtime today and he handed over a lovely paperweight as a memento of my return to the Mizuno Forum Day. The picture doesn't do the inscription justice, but it says " DCB Mizuno Forum 2016"  Much appreciated.
Had a good chat with Z over lunch, looking back at this years event and looking forward. I'm happy that Z & D will arrange something to remember for next year. Thanks for the wee memento and thanks for lunch Z.
