Didn't the old versions used to be forged? Doesn't look like HOT METAL is a forged technology.

We took the best part of the MX-700 utility (which has won a lot of awards recently) - the HOT METAL face.

Grain Flow Forged technology is something Mizuno stands by with its more workable irons - but for thin, high energy faces in fairway woods and utilities the HOT METAL concept works a lot better.

A case of matching the right technology to the right products.
